The Space:
As you arrive, open the black gate, and make your way up the steps and into the lush garden underneath the enormous pepper tree. Nestled into natural surrounds, you'll find a charming loft complete with an outdoor bath to soak your worries away.
Step inside, and you'll find yourself in a cosy open space. The kitchenette-laundry area has everything you need to whip up something tasty along with a washing machine for your convenience.
There's a cute 2-seater dining table and a comfy two-seater lounge right in the middle, with a wall mounted TV for your entertainment and plenty of thoughtful touches sprinkled throughout.
Across the room, you'll spot a snug double bed, offering you a cosy spot to rest your head after a day of exploring.
Just a step down from the kitchen, you'll find a compact yet functional shower and toilet. Whether you're cooking up a storm, enjoying a meal, or simply kicking back and relaxing, every corner of this loft is designed with your comfort and enjoyment in mind.
Guest Access:
The Studio is located in the backyard of a property occupied by the owner. This means access to the Studio is via a shared path along the side of the main property, through the back garden and to the Studio. There are stairs along the path and garden leading to the Studio. There are also an open body of water (fishpond with four goldfish) in the backyard. The main house is not for guest use. Guests have full access to the Studio at any time via a lockbox.
The Neighborhood:
Launceston is a beautiful city blending both city and country charms, with heritage streetscapes, a slice of urban wilderness and gourmet food and drink available at every turn. We aren’t just biased, many agree, with Launceston named Australia’s best town to visit in 2022!
Nestled amongst these iconic buildings, you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces.
Launceston has many things to see and do including the vibrant Harvest Market every Saturday morning, the Princess Theatre, hosting local, interstate, and international performances, the Star Theatre for a cosy, cinematic experience, and many pubs and venues that host amazing live, musical talents.
Often referred to as the 'Lygon’ Street of Launceston, you will find some of Launceston’s most popular eateries and amenities on the illustrious Charles Street. George St is also known as ‘Eat Street’ with a range of restaurants, bars, gin houses and cafes to cater for most tastes.
The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.
The City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Nearby, you will find Penny Royal World. This attraction provides you and the family with a fabulous day out, with boat rides, rock climbing, rope courses, and more found here. For the adults, Penny Royal also provides a beautiful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wine or coffee.
An additional area to note is the Seaport Precinct. Here you will find some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants and bars scattered along the edges of the Tamar River. Restaurants to note are Mud Restaurant and Bar, the Levee Food Co. and Spice. Across the bridge you will find the Riverbend Park for all day play entertainment, the Boathouse Café and Silo Hotel.

This property is central to some of Launceston most renowned attractions which are accessible on foot. Some of these highlights include, Launceston City Park, Seaport, and museums. Alternatively if you prefer to travel via vehicle, there are many alternative options listed below:
METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.
FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. INTERCITY BUS SERVICE: Tasmania has you covered with a variety of intercity bus services to make your city-to-city travels a breeze. If you're in the North West region, which includes Burnie, Wynyard, Devonport, and more take a peek at the 'MerseyLink' bus service website for their timetables. If you're heading to or from Launceston and the southern spots like Hobart, make sure to swing by the 'Kinetic' website. Please note that 'Kinetic' has you covered for some routes to and from Devonport as well.
ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!
