Old Daltongate House
10/10 Excellent
"Warm welcome followed by friendlyness throughout our stay, very quaint house with lots of original features. Very close to carpark, and town but not noisy, we stayed in room 4 at the front. Breakfdt was delicious, room had everything we needed, power shower and comfy bed a bonus, highly recommended "
"Exceptionally clean apartment. Well stocked, very modern and comfortable. We were in a ground floor apartment, our only slight disappointment was the poor natural light in the lounge area but did not detract from stay. Well located for central Ulverston and pay and display car park across the road."
"I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful host who showed me to my room and told me about the events of the coming weekend. The pub website says that it can be noisy because they have late night events but up on the second (or was it third floor) it was actually fairly quiet even with the Pride after party going on after midnight.
The pub has a small car park that was never full in the week I was there.
The location is perfect, right in the centre of Ulverston and within easy walking distance of bus stops for trips to Coniston and Windermere as well as the railway station for trips along the coast.
I think the only negative point is one that the Sun has in common with most other hotels, not enough teabags!"
