Apartments in Le Diamant

"This apartment is not far from the beach in the residential area. The property is clean and rather new. But it’s very open with no privacy. The shower and toilet is next to the kitchen and bed is one metre away from the front door. The windows and doors are glass, lots of lights which is very hot during the day. TIt would be nice to have chairs and table inside the apartment to seat. The wifi doesn’t work which is the big problem. It’s not easy to find given the instructions of the map. We managed to call the owner and took us half an hour. The noise outside was very loud, the insects and traffic kept us awake at night. This nice apartment had potential if have dividers and chairs. "

It’s hard to list all the positive… the constant sound of the waves, the direct access to the beach for long morning walks and endless swims, the south facing orientation for sun all day long, the walking access to the market, bakery, pharmacy, restaurants, and the comfort of the house itself, made it a perfect holiday place, and we can’t wait to be back."

"We loved our stay at Le Diamant. Although small and a new thing for us (sort of outdoor kitchen) it was amazing. The place was clean, exactly as advertised. The view from the kitchen and deck is stunning. The property is superb and the pool was super as well. Le Diamant is a neat section of Martinique. Being that it was November we had to travel to find calmer ocean beach water but the sounds of the ocean can be heard and the aforementioned views were stunning. Murielle was a great host. Despite our lack of French she responded well and for the most part Google translate sufficed. The only confusing part for us was due to our lack of French we had some trouble finding the specific building the condo was located on the grounds. Also as a person with mobility issues , there is no walking path to the condo or the pool. Most of the grounds there is but you will have to do some stairs. Also you can drive your car near the building to drop off and pick up your luggage but the road is narrow and you still have to do one set of stairs. It would be great if those items could be made available in the welcome details. Also we were confused about beach towels so we brought our own."

"Très bien situé, le logement a tout pour satisfaire. La piscine est un gros avantage malgré que la plage soit au coin de la rue. Tout était parfait et les propriétaires très aidants et gentils."

"Les photos donnent l’impression que le logement est beaucoup plus grand. L’espace intérieur est limité à la salle de bain et deux petites chambres à coucher qui communiquent avec l’espace extérieur (la cuisine et le salon) par deux portes style garage. Il ne faut pas être claustrophobe pour tolérer les portes fermées la nuit. Impossible d’ouvrir la porte du réfrigérateur lorsque nous étions attablés puisque la cuisine est très petite. Il ne faut surtout pas laisser de fruits dehors parce que les oiseaux vont les picorer et il faut aussi être à l’aise avec les gros insectes (blattes, sauterelles et gros araignées). Nous croyons que le prix chargé pour notre séjour était trop pour l’espace. Points forts: Amélie est très accueillante. La petite piscine est rafraîchissante et l’espace extérieur hormis l’espace de cuisine est grand et plaisant. La petite plage tout près est vraiment jolie."
