"I recently stayed at Résidence Océane for a week for business, and unfortunately, my experience was quite poor. The hotel failed to meet basic expectations in several critical areas. Firstly, there was no fresh bedding linen or towels provided for the entire duration of my stay, so one large towel and 2 small hand towels for a week. "Wow! Our group loved Helene’s place. The town is 1 hour train from Paris and you can get a taxi to the house although don’t rely on Uber/bolt. The pool area is wonderful and the grounds of the house have a lot to offer. The bedrooms are large and quite a lot of them have ensuites. The second house is attached to the main house and offers a quieter space for those that want it. The only issue our group found was some struggled to sleep because the house only has windows to cool down at night...

"We were 6 in the property- grandparents, parents and children. The property was furnished to a good standard (all bedrooms are doubles but our boys shared a bed). Kitchen very well stocked. WiFi was set up with plenty of routers but didn’t work while we were there and didn’t get fixed. Pool was heated (a massive bonus) and I would guess about 8x4m in size. Supermarkets 10 mins away by car - all open Sunday mornings."

"Beautiful house - immaculate inside and out. The house is very new and everything has been thought about with no expense spared. Alberic was such a lovely host - he booked dinner for us and provided my daughter with a more suitable sized bike - nothing was too much trouble. The house is set is a lovely quiet village but close to other towns and villages. My children loved the pool, again it was immaculate and heated to a lovely temperature. Thank you Alberic, we would love to return. "

"Prima vakantiehuis met eigen terras. Er is ook nog een grotere tuin bij maar die deel je met het buur vakantiehuis. Een aantal mooie wandelingen gemaakt maar het is vooral een heel geliefd gebied voor bouldenaars "

"Lovely house, very comfortable and well equipped for a family for two weeks near to climbing areas. Fireplace with a good supply of firewood very welcome for chilly spring evenings. Very helpful and friendly host, tolerant of my limited french language skills! We would recommend and definitely stay again."

"We enjoyed our brief stay at Pierre’s house. Very clean, comfortable and spacious for a family of four. Loved being able to walk to the boulangerie in the morning and the many restaurant options in the evening. Super convenient location for all of the Font climbing areas and really appreciated being able to rent bouldering pads from Pierre. We would definitely stay again!"

"This is a wonderful place to stay, close to Orleans and within easy reach of both towns and countryside. The gîte was clean, very well equipped and the owner friendly, welcoming and helpful. "It’s only 3-minute walk to the palace and close to restaurants and supermarket and fruit store. The only concern is the ventilation of the room and I saw mold buildups on the tiles of the shower room. The staff immediately cleaned it after I bring out this problem."

Hotel Campanile Melun Sud - Dammarie Les Lys

"This property appeared to be decent however it was extremely loud due to the nature of access to the room via the outside corridor. People must pass by your window to get to their room and leaves very little privacy and is very loud. The room was renovated however it was very hot and air conditioning was turned off for the winter and the only window looked onto the corridor balcony therefore not very good for noise or safety. As I went to bed a cockroach scurried up the headboard which was the worst! My husband managed to kill it. The non smoking room had a terrible smell of smoke as it must have been used by smokers. It permeated fabric and carpet therefore you could not air the room out and get rid of the smell. Overall not a place I would return to considering the price. "

"We wanted a comfortable, easy place to stay close to the chateau at Fontainebleau and the town centre for dinner as we were travelling up through France from the south back to the UK. This was perfect in that regard. Clean, modern with a spacious and comfortable room. Breakfast was surprisingly good too. "

"Comfortable and convenient hotel. It looks big but is really quite small. The grounds are in need of a gardener but the oak forest in front of the hotel shield it from a very busy road. There is a Buffalo Grill opposite but there is no pedestrian exit so a little difficult in my opinion. The hotel is very close to Vaux le Vicomte and Fontainebleau if like us you like visiting chateaux."
