"Stayed here during the 75th anniversary of d-day. On arrival didn't know how to check in but was not a problem as owner lives next door. Great location to easily get to other places. Resident chickens in the garden made our stay welcoming and interesting. One day owner left us fresh eggs and on the last night of our stay left us a bottle of wine and biscuits. Would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back."

"The check in/ check out procedure was made super simple but a very easy to communicate with host. Bar, restaurant, shop and fuel station are all a short walk away. Highly recommended place to stay!!"

The cottage is very small, we are a family of 4 which was tight. 6 people would be too many as there is only a sofa bed to sit on in the living room so people have to sit at the dinner table in the evening. "We loved the Villa Lara Hotel. The rooms are over the top and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Once they were notified of our late arrival they arranged a taxi from the train station and made dinner reservations for us as well. Upon arrival to the hotel they took our luggage to our room so we could leave straight away for dinner. The hotel is walkable to many sites in town. We will definitely be back "

"The staff was friendly and very helpful. One challenge was that some rooms were not accessible by elevator. Once the elevator reached a floor, the rooms were up another half flight of steps. It was challenging for me who is a senior adult to get a suitcase up that half flight. I had to take it slow but managed okay. The onsight parking spaces were very tight and some were difficult to get into. Everything else was great! Hotel breakfast had a nice assortment of meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, yogurts and cereals....all the normal offerings of many hotel breakfasts. "
