43 At The Lake Sunrise Cottage

The Cottage sits on a rise overlooking the lake - It will accommodate 4-5 guests There is a large deck with screened in sun room that adds to the space. The view is lovely with morning sunrise & views over the lake & toward Blue Mountain . It is nestled into the edge of the trees - The kitchen & bathroom are recently renewed .. Parking for two cars as well as room at the dock for up to a twenty foot boat - Canoe and Kayaks can be rented next door .The added 16 x 12 deck with 10 x 12 screened in sun room adds 120 square feet of out door screened in space WOW !!! Plus the BQQ area just outside the sun room looks over lawns and the lake .. This is a two bedroom space with a good living area.- The second bedroom is efficient and has a bunk bed with a double lower for adults and an upper for luggage or children. - Guests are really enjoying the unique setting and suite .. Charleston Lake Park is a few mins drive away with a great beach - I include a park pass for those who really want that sand beach swim experience as well as the great hiking trails (and they have laundry facilities) . Access at the shore is ideal for canoe / kayak - Small boat ..And "soft bottom swimming" Weeds are kept well away.. The Sunrise Cottage looks over the lake and has sun all day. and stars at night - There is ample area around the cottage which is on a rise up from the shore - An easy walk down to the shared dock The living room has a sofa - chairs and dining area . There is a fabulous coffee shop for breakfast at the end of the lane - And they sell fishing gear and licenses as well as great ice cream .. A boat launch is very near and with arrangements you can park up to an 18 foot boat ..
The surrounding region has a number of hiking trails - The 1000 Islands tour boats are well worth the time - Excellent summer theatre is nearby - Dining is a short drive away. Arriving here is easy just 10 minutes from Highway 401 ..
Smoking can be done outside and under the cover seen in the last two images . The building seen is a summer camp lodge built in 1910 .

Perfect getaway spot!
This quaint little yellow cottage is the ideal stay for anyone looking to getaway from the hustle bustle of life and get back to basics. Perfectly located on Charleston Lake, bordering the breath taking Provincial Park and just down the road from the sweetest little rural town of Landsdowne that has all the basic needs. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore nature during the day, be it hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, paddling or anything else and relax by a cozy campfire under the stars, listening to the loons at night. We had a wonderful time! Greg was a fantastic host and look forward to our next stay.

Cozy cottage for 2 adults
The cottage is small and more suitable for 2 adults, not 4. However cottage has everything you need during your stay. Comfortable bed in master bedroom. 2 level bed in other room needs to be lubricated so it doesn't squeak. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, weather was perfect, lake was full of fish :)

Nice rustic cabin in a beautiful spot
We enjoyed staying at the cabin, very convenient location, beautiful outdoor area and nice patio, our host showed us around and gave tips how to navigate. Appliances are old but working just fine, the beds are super comfortable, great deal for the price.

Cute rustic cottage with everything we needed
This cottage was exactly as listed and came complete with everything we needed for our stay. Greg, our host was very personable and helpful. He kindly provided us with a gift of fresh vegetables upon arrival. He was also very accommodating with providing space and an extension cord for our boat. We had heavy rainfall during our stay and he provided a place for us to dry out our boat cover. We look forward to returning at a future date.

Sunrise cabin
The cabin was a little more rustc than i expected. However the bathroom was in good working order & had plenty of hot water. Could use more window coverings. The toaster oven need to be cleaned. Need to be aware that The walk to the boat dock is a steep incline. Greg was very nice & hospitable. Thank you!

Little Cottage on the Lake
I grew up going to this lake and really enjoyed my stay in this little rustic cabin. We had a lake view and access to the dock; enjoyed drinking coffee while watching the sun rise and hearing the loons call. We enjoyed our host Greg and invited him for a drink one night. This place is near to many gorgeous hikes and you can rent a canoe at the end of the lane and hop into the lake. There's a good liquor store and grocery store within 10 minutes and a cool brewery within 20. I'd stay there again!

Lovely rural getaway
The cottage is a delight: impeccably furnished and with a complete set of cookery, towels, pillows. Greg was there to greet us, but not intrusive. The included admission to Charleston Provincial Park was a gateway to hiking/ swimming/ nature and is a real bonus. The lake path at the cottage would be challenging to some, and the swimming is pretty reedy. But that's a minor cavil.

Weekend for 3 old friends
Myself and my 2 old friends rented the cabin so we could attend a local weekend festivity. We have been getting together annually for years. Greg's place was perfect. The screened-in porch is great for hanging out any time of day or night. the cozy cabin has 2 bedrooms with one bunk and we were able to fit, no problem. Greg accomodated us and even went the extra mile. thanks Greg.

Beautiful Sunrise and Sunset
Great and relaxing time at this property. The area is tranquil. The cottage is spotless and has been updated. I annoyed the host when my friends came by with their dog. However, that was my fault for not letting Greg know, plus the fact that there are no dogs allowed. He was very gracious and very charming. I would stay there again, and I would recommend it to others.
