This newly renovated and home is a great getaway for a couple or a small group who would like to just fish and relax. This cottage literally hangs over the lake and is located on 18 acres with access to a volleyball court, swimming area, fishing pier, and ramp just footsteps away. The private dock is just outside your front bedroom door. The bunk bed has extra-long twin TempurPedic mattresses for ultimate comfort.

This is like camping at the water’s edge with the luxuries of home. Relax, read a book, fish, and watch the game or a movie all within 30 feet of the lake. The kitchen comes complete with utensils, cookware, and small appliances. There is a gas grill and Direct TV.

if you want a spot for a few days right on the water, this place is great. it could use a little updating here and there, but everything you need for a few days fishing, boating can be found here. private cabin on water for the price of a brand name hotel. would stay again

Not acceptable for my family
My parents live in the same neighborhood and were hosting Thanksgiving. Their house was pretty full so we rented this property to stay for 2 nights. We did the same thing a few years ago at a nearby property so we had an idea of what to expect. Unfortunately, this property was unacceptable and we did not stay there. It had a strong musty smell and overall the place was dingy. The doors also did not quite seal and had an insufficient lock for me to trust to keep my family safe

Perfect weekend getaway
Cute and cozy little cabin. The only negative is self inflicted. We put the baby in the room with us which meant we couldn’t enjoy the dock after her bedtime because the only access to the dock, back deck, and grill is through the bedroom.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. The neighbors were very friendly. The only issue that we encountered was fire ants coming into the window in dining area. We contacted the property manager and was insured that they would send someone out right away. Never heard back from the property manager nor the maintenance guy.

We enjoyed our stay. Wish we had extra towels to dry off the outdoor furniture... the weather was perfect but the mist from the lake leaves everything damp in the evening and morning. Missed having a mirror other than in the bathroom... Everything else was as expected. Thank you!

Great Location
It was so nice being right on Lake Murray. I wish there were more kitchen items such as oven mitts, dish towels, paper goods, and condiments/spices. The air conditioner right above the futon in the living room is very loud, making sleep difficult. Being right next to the boat rental was very convenient.

No privacy at all.
We constantly had kids and there guardians around the house. Boaters were in and out all day long. The place we were staying had a constant presence of roaches, water bug's, moths and centipedes of some kind. The last night was disturbed by someone trying to get on the deck. Whomever also took the fish we caught. Thank goodness the weather was good.

Very private and relaxing
My sister and I love this place. The only drawback was that we could not get tv's to work and it was not a good time for fishing. At least, it was not off the pier, we don't own a boat, so we just fish off the pier. We both love to fish, I do like having bites though and we got very few of those this time but that is okay, we will be back later. Air conditioners do not cool the house very well (for us). We are both hot natured.

Amazing
It was beautiful! Everything is as pictured, the view of the lake was amazing to say the least. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the check in process for us was a bit of a hassle. We received the wrong code for the lock box and ended up waiting around outside 45 mins in the cold and dark before finally walking around and luckily finding one of the doors open. The next morning the property manager Tracy was very generous and came by to apologize, leave us some goodies, and gave us a late check out. Other than that mishap, i had the best time. This is a wonderful place to get away from everyday life and get in tune with yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be back in the future!
