"We were greeted with a warm smile and a welcome, which was great. I feel there are many times staff are on auto pilot and barely making it through a shift. Check in was quick and easy. We were able to pre register on our phone which was great.The room was clean and layout was nice. We had a double queen room which had a large armoire for coats, entertainment center with dresser drawers below, desk with chair, microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator. The bathroom has beautiful stonework in the shower and sliding glass doors which makes it feel open and earthy.The pool is a little on the small side but still nice. It does have a lift and is handicap accessible. There was a hot tub also which was perfect after a long day. The bar staff (Kevin) was awesome. We enjoyed his jokes, music and movie knowledge. The beds were average for comfort.There is free breakfast in the morning that you definitely do not want to miss. Breakfast included eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, french toast, oatmeal with add your toppings, assorted yogurt, assorted cold cereal, fresh fruit, toast, bagels, assorted sweet rolls. Whew! For beverages they had coffee, tea, milk, oat milk, apple juice, orange juice and cranberry juice. We definitely did not go away hungry. They have express check out also which was appreciated. The hotel offers a free shuttle service that is first come first serve and will travel up to 2 miles from hotel. "

The breakfast buffet was much nicer than expected with high quality options for vegans and gluten free guests. Short walking distance to the State Capitol, lakefront and various restaurants. Very comfortable and spacious accommodations. We were very impressed. "
