"Exceptional property in beautiful rural location. 18 of our family stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed this delightful holiday accommodation. Superb pool, great covered/outside eating area, boules, table tennis etc. Air conditioning in one apartment building, thick walls and therefore relatively cool in the other apartment building. Really super stay. Note for English renters: Towels and toilet paper not provided as we believe is the custom in France."

"We loved our stay here - house is spacious and we all had a bedroom - a family with 3 generations staying. The garden is lovely, great to play, sit, enjoy. The pool is lovely, though too cold for me to get in, but the kids did and enjoyed it. That would be my only criticism - a heated pool would be nice! Close to a supermarket - only 5 mins in the car, Surgeres,close by, is a lovely little town to explore and also has a train station to get to La Rochelle, Paris, etc! Highly recommended."

"Because of our late train arrival the reception desk was closed. We had informed the property two days prior by email but it was not acknowledged. We were fortunately met by a representative who took us to our room. Lovely room but a/c didn’t work, fans only. :("

"Lovely place. Loads of space for us 4 families to spread out across the 2 separate houses. (Handy to put the teens in the end one on their own). Weather was very hot so we really appreciated the pool, the shade of the walnut tree and the Bluetooth speakers. A couple of extra parasols would have been great, but we managed fine. "This was our second holiday this year at the mill and we will keep returning. Everything you need for a holiday has been thought of, beautiful mill and extensive gardens. Can highly recommend using the patio at the side of the property for meals, very relaxing with views across the river/land. You have access to use herbs/tomatoes etc from the garden which is such a lovely idea. Easy drive to food shops and literary a short walk to Château de Dampierre-sur-Boutonne which is definitely worth a visit. There is also a small shop that sells local crafts/art/honey which is such a fabulous idea to support the local people. The owner Yohann as always was very welcoming, excellent communication prior and during the stay if you require his assistance. He ensures your time at the mill is as enjoyable as possible. You won’t regret booking this gem of a property. "

"We loved our stay here - house is spacious and we all had a bedroom - a family with 3 generations staying. The garden is lovely, great to play, sit, enjoy. The pool is lovely, though too cold for me to get in, but the kids did and enjoyed it. That would be my only criticism - a heated pool would be nice! Close to a supermarket - only 5 mins in the car, Surgeres,close by, is a lovely little town to explore and also has a train station to get to La Rochelle, Paris, etc! Highly recommended."
