"A warm welcome and an excellent room. Staff very helpful. A liitle disappointed that the restaurant was closed on the night of our stay (Monday) but the receptionist suggested local places to eat. She enquired on availability but all were booked. Drove to Saumur (15 minutes away) and found several restaurants. Breakfast was great and the views across the Loire river were uplifting. Would reccommend."

"This place is seriously beautiful and may spoil me for more ordinary hotels. Gorgeous historic buildings and gardens. Our bedroom was very large with massive wooden beams across the ceiling. Calm and pristine cream decor. Very modern bathroom with beautiful ceramic handbasins and walk in shower. The breakfasts are of excellent quality and the dining facilities are exceptional though very formal. "Absolutely amazing and much cheaper than an equivalent hotel in the UK. Bedroom was huge and spotless. It was a super king double, with lovely views over the countryside. The continental breakfast was superb. There is no kettle in the room, but you do have access to a kettle outside, so bring your own tea and coffee."

"The first night we stayed we would award top marks, but on or return 4 days later the second room was not as good. It was not as clean, the shower screen support was loose, the tv was hanging and not working properly. The furniture on the terrace was very dirty, we cleaned it before we could sit down. We were served a meal in our room, but thought that the dirty dishes would be removed, but they remained until we signed out"

"Nice clean and cheap hotel as advertised. Staff friendly and quick check in. Rooms are decent size although separate wash hand basin in room was a bit odd. Air con functional which was good as warm nights. The breakfast is good selection and no complaints. The only downside I found was location which I hadn’t realised is almost as an off shoot of main roads, between a McD and a petrol station. "Brilliant room -“ D’or “ full of golden antiques and quirky items, felt very luxurious. Spent some time in the hot tub, then on lounger in sun playing peek a boo with tiny geckos! Swimming pool. Lovely rural setting right near the River Loire. Great welcome from host Miriam who produced a cold beer, a glass of cremant ( in the tub!) and a delicious amuse bouche. She made a recommendation for a dinner in a beautiful riverside location. Breakfast was good. What a lovely place to stay. "
