THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! Come enjoy this private Villa in a truly remarkable tropical setting. This six bedroom, six bath home overlooks the Caribbean Sea and it's mountains on the island of St. Martin, French West Indies in the Caribbean. Located in the Lowlands, an exclusive residential area of St. Martin, Villa Steel Magnolias is the former home of Oscar winning actress Olympia Dukakis. This beautiful villa has apx 2 acres of land that provides privacy, spaciousness and wonderful views of the island and the sparkling sea. We offer full housekeeping at no extra charge and a private cook available upon request for extra fee. The main entrance to the Villa is gated and private.

The Villa is first class from room to room offering a large indoor living/dining area with TV and stereo system both indoors and around the pool area. A large modern kitchen with double fridge and stove are just a few of the features this villa offers. The bedrooms are furnished as follows. All of the bedrooms have pillow top king size beds and all bedroom have private bathroom with shower. Most of the bedrooms have double sinks bathrooms and they all have very large showers. Of the now SIX bedrooms two are Master Bedrooms of which one has a leather sofa sleeper. We also have the option of a 7th bedroom in a separate building if needed and by request. We have 5 large bedrooms and 5 baths in the main Villa all with private baths and we have 6th large bedroom with leather sofa sleeper and large bath with separate shower and separate Jacuzzi tub!

Our rates are for the ENITRE Villa with no hidden fees or service charges as many other Villas add. Cleaning staff is included (except Sundays)....no extra charge!

The Villa offer's two master bedroom suites, one in the main Villa with 42' TV and a new master bedroom located in a building of its own overlooking the large pool and with an incredible view of the Caribbean Sea. As already said......This 6th very large master bedroom also has its own kitchenette with microwave and mini fridge. It also has a large bathroom with separate shower and Jacuzzi bathtub! Four of the five bedrooms have French doors that open up to the pool area and with view's of the Caribbean Sea. And here's another great thing about this Villa....The white sand beach at Baie Rouge is just out your back gate and only apx 25 steps away! Very few Villa's offer a great beach just a few steps away. But best of all is the staff at the Villa who will take care of your every need and truely want you to have the very best vacation possible. We do not add and service charges to our rates like many Villa's but you are welcome to tip the staff if you wish at the end or your visit. The Villa Adminastrator will meet you at the airport at no extra charge and return you to the Villa and help you and the rest of your group get ready for some St Martin/St Maarten fun! Over half of our guests are repeat visitors and want to return year after year.

Excellent Property, Location, and Owner/Manager
This is a great house for a large family or multiple families. Perfect location for equal drives to every spot-Simpson Bay, Orient, Anse Marcel, etc. Very roomy, easily fit 14, maybe more with couches. Very nice pool area to hang out, great walk to an amazing beach. Loved the iguanas! Property is managed by an awesome guy-Neville. He was so helpful in many ways. Best VRBO experience I have had!

Super fun stay for 4 families!

Wonderful vacation
We had an amazing week at Villa Steel Magnolias. The villa itself and the pool are wonderful and the location is great. The beach area that is a very short walk out the back door is beautiful and seemingly never crowded. Neville the property manager was excellent at anticipating our needs and making sure everything went smoothly. Five stars for everything! Can't wait to return!

Baie Rouge vacay
Great location on the French side. I've stayed in several villas on St. Martin and this is the best one yet. Mark is readily accessible and responsive and the staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Don't hesitate to book this place. It's everything as described and more.

Great place!
This house sits in the perfect spot. Right next to Baie Rouge and not too far from anything. (Except Oyster pond.) So much space, but the best is the outdoor space. There's a fabulous pool with an outdoor living room and dining room.

Steel Magnolias is expensive, but well worth the price!
The villa management was in contact with us early, and was very responsive to our every question, or need, before and during our stay. Neville (aka Yellow) was wonderfully attentive and responsible throughout. We had a wonderful time. The villa provided restful comfort, and an easy place from which to explore the island.

Beautiful private villa
We had such a wonderful time at Villa Steel Magnolias. The house was very clean, bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We spent a good deal of time at the pool or at the beautiful beach so close to the house. Mark was very quick to respond to any questions we had during the booking and our stay. Neville was SO incredibly helpful and kind. Anything we needed during our stay, he took care of. We would absolutely stay here again. Close to markets, restaurants, and yet quiet and private. Great vacation!

Great time. Neville and the staff took care of the place and us. House was as advertised. Plenty of room for 12 of us. Beach steps from the house. Good location, 15 minutes from the airport. Only downside - toilets need the mechanisms changed as they were extremely slow in filling up between flushes. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic Villa with a wonderful Staff
Everything we wanted and more. Steps away from beautiful Baie Rouge beach and close to Maho, Cupecoy and Marigot. We had a group of 11 and the villa was never cramped. Great pool and deck with a wonderful area to sit a relax after a day at the beach. It was a true home away from home, our group all said they will return.

Steel Magnolias villa worked very well for our family. It was a generous size for all of us to have our own and shared space; the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing; the location is close to restaurants, shopping and the beach; it has wonderful views and refreshing breezes; Neville and the rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The resident dogs were a delightful bonus!

Great Location and House!
Our group of 8 recently spent a wonderful week at Villa Steel Magnolias. The property was better than described and Mark and Nevil were great. The house was well equipped, clean and the perfect location. Our party had plenty of room to spread out with the option of both pool side and beach front without having to get in a car. We have rented several homes on the island before, but this was by far the most comfortable for a large party! Thanks!

Fabulous Week!
We travelled to Atlantis for the past two years and decided to try another island. We are 5 adults and 5 children (ages 10-18) and what a fabulous time we had in St. Martin! The house is wonderful, the grounds were beautiful, the staff was great, the beach was relaxing and fun! There was shopping and many good restuarants not far from the house. We did some siteseeing and a lot of relaxing. My daughter said she would rather come back to St. Martin than to Atlantis - That is a huge testimony!! Thank you Mark and family for a great vacation!

The Villa was spacious-lots of room/space for 10 people. The king beds & ensuites were great. There were resident iguanas! Neville & his staff responded quickly to our every need. We hired the chef (Jeanette) to prepare a special dinner-it was outstanding. We could see the airport, but not hear it. The beach was wonderful. And David’s hole is around the corner. Great sunrises. You definitely need a rental car. The pool was used by us every day, but the water clarity was poor. The kitchen is tight! There were bugs that we reported. We loved St Martin & the Villa. Super family holiday.

Great location for a group.
We had a group of four couples. Each couple thanked me for picking this property and we all agreed we would come back in a heart beat. This property has plenty of room for 6 couples you won't feel cramped. Well decorated making you feel at home. To keep this review real... The property is not brand new so there are a few minor issues like a couple doors stick, the kitchen is a little dated but everything works well. Having 2 fridges for a larger group was perfect. Location is great, close to Maho and Marigot. We felt like it was home, we'll be back!

Beautiful French lowlands Villa
When we arrived at the Steel Magnolia Villa I was surprised that it was actually nicer than the photos and descriptions online. This property has privacy and a fantastic and secure location right next to one of the best small beaches on the island - Baie Rouge. The beds were very comfortable, each room is named after a character from the Steel Magnolia’s movie. The Villa definitely had Caribbean character which is why I love VRBO! The pool area was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the views of Simpson Bay were awesome. We had no problems bopping around the entire island from the Villa. Neville was very helpful and we enjoyed talking with him! Thank you Mark for sharing your beautiful Villa with our family of 8.

Too much of everything!!
We have traveled to SxM for years, this time we were four couples and 5 kids. We love Baie Rouge Beach and no one could believe such a location could be possible. One hundred steps to the beach, six bedrooms full of amenities and convenience was beyond expectations.Too much of everything- poolside chairs, towels, kitchen equipment, equipped bathrooms, videos, music system, books, anything you may need for a wonderful vacation. Caretaker Jonas very helpful and understanding- no one in our group will forget this stay, great value and family fun that provided too much of everything, just waiting to get back ASAP. Thanks Mark!!!

Family Trip
Excellent property. Marlon and Jonas took care of our every need. We stayed at the property for 2 weeks. The beach is just a few steps away with drinks and food available. Marigot is a short drive away. The pictures on the web site do not do the house justice. Every room is it's own little oasis. When had several meals on the covered patio. The pool was in excellent shape and Jonas kept it clean everyday. Their were 8 people in our group ranging In age from 2 to 53, everyone had a great time. The kitchen was the best stocked of any home that we have rented. Jonas's wife came and cleaned twice a week. Overall we would definitely return to Villas Steel Magnolia. GREAT HOME!!! Mark and his family have created a great escape in St Martin.

Unforgettable vacation at a dream rental
A family trip to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday went flawlessly thanks to finding this incredible property and property mgmt team. Clear and timely email communication with Mark, the owner, from the start eased any worries I had about choosing this property and organizing the trip for my family of 9 adults and 3 kids (ranging in ages from 80yo to 3yo). The place is really clean and gorgeous inside and out plus it has the homey, cozy vibe that immediately makes you feel at home. The picturesque beach is a few steps out the back gate, the pool is splendid with incredible views and the Terres Basses location can't be beat (groceries, gas, downtown area is just down the road...5-10min to any essentials things you'd need). Neville, the property manager and the housekeeping team were awesome and available for whatever we needed. Truly unforgettable vacation. Cannot recommend this rental enough to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion with loved ones in a gorgeous location and be taken care of by knowledgable, friendly and very professional staff. Beautiful property
Our party of 11 enjoyed Mark's villa for a week. The property is beautiful, in the most desirable part of St Martin, with views over Simpson bay, and with really easy access to the Baie Rouges beach. The villa's character is warm and welcoming, not unlike a roman or greek villa in Europe. The bedrooms are all spacious and have very comfortable beds with luxurious linens; each has its own bathroom well-stocked with towels. The kitchen is well-appointed and very usable. Our favorite part of the house was the pool, the pool deck, and the covered, outdoor area where we dined every night. The caretakers, who live on the property, are very helpful but also discreet. We all loved Johnny, the caretaker's gentle dog. The town of Marigot is a short drive away and has supermarkets, restaurants, and bakeries with fabulous french and creole food. The island of St Martin is a fun place to visit with lots to do. That said, our favorite place to hang out on the island was the villa. Our vacation was fabulous thanks to it.

Unforgettable family vacation
Staying at Villa Steel Magnolias was an absolutely fantastic experience. The house had beauty, charm, and character. The property was massive and well maintained. All of us enjoyed watching the many iguanas that came by at all times of the day. The proximity to Baie Rouge was unbelievable and we were provided with chairs and umbrellas to enhance the beach experience. The house was extremely comfortable and was large enough for all 15 (9 adults and 6 kids) of us. Each bedroom was beautifully decorated and had it’s own private bath and super comfortable king size bed. The common areas were equally as comfortable. The pool area, where we congregated most of the time, was great. Plenty of seating with chaises around the pool and the covered patio to shade from the afternoon sun or the passing rain shower. Neville, the property manager, and his staff, were wonderful and very dedicated. Every other day he brought us bottled water to replenish the water cooler. He was readily available and addressed any issues that came up. I can honestly say that Villa Steel Magnolias is one of my favorite vacation homes and I would highly recommend it.
