Great location right on the beach. Bus stop right outside hotel to go to St Andrews. Food was excellent and they are very dog friendly. I commented on the eggs being so tasty at breakfast and was given some to take home. 4th time staying and will be back
An overnight stay on Christmas Day. Returned to the hotel at 2am no issue getting in. Full Scottish breakfast in the morning which was excellent.

We love the location of this hotel, and have already visited in February this year. The suite room we had this time was unfortunately quite cold at all times, albeit we had the radiators turned up 😔
The room itself was very tired. We had 'the suite' and the chairs and couch could have done with a wash down. One was marked with something and i took wipes to it to clean it. The hand basin had a big crack in it and we couldnt get the shower to swap from the taps to the hose to get a shower, the button wouldnt stay up. That said what was there was clean in the bathroom. The beds were comfy and clean with white sheets.
The food and breakfast was lovely and very tasty, and the staff were friendly too, although their spread so thin on the ground they were having to do 5 jobs at once.
Would definitely go back to the pub/restaurant for food, but sadly wouldnt stay in the hotel again as you can get better for the money their charging elsewhere

Very friendly staff but not very fast if you’re in a hurry. The hotel needs more staff. Those there are there all the time.
Decor is warn and tired.
Food is OK. Not worthy of 4 stars given by many.
Overall, good value for money

Amazing location. Staff pleasant but not very attentive. Claims to be pet friendly but dogs not allowed in breakfast room.
Location is perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful and food, both at dinner and breakfast, was very good.
On the downside, the building, decor and furnishings are tired and in need of updating.
Enjoyed a four night stay recently at the Crusoe Hotel. Been holidaying in Lower Largo for very many years and love returning to walk our favourite walks and especially along the beach to Shell Bay.
My wife is a direct descendant of Alexander Selkirk and so has many special memories of the happy days she holidayed here in the past.
The Hotel is in a wonderful location and has many wonderful model shops and other interesting memorabilia. The food is absolutely first class. The staff on one particular evening were rushed off their feet and coped admirably and pleasantly. We enjoyed our stay hugely and would like to return again for an even longer stay.
Very old characterful hotel. Very friendly staff helpful and courtious. Good food. Situated in a Old unspoilt seaside village. Wonderful quiet and scenic.
Staff very helpful. Food and service excellent. Property quaint with age, like uneven floors, and interesting history and location in Lower Largo. Village and the East Neuk of Fife retain much character of the last 3-400 years not found in many places. Overall a good 5* experience. Well done 😊!
