Quiet Creekfront Cabin w/Fire Pit Near Historic Lexington, VA

Welcome to Buffalo Creek Hideaway, a relaxing getaway nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just 15 minutes outside of downtown Lexington, VA! Bring your fishing poles because just steps from the front porch you can enjoy trout fishing in the creek! If fishing isn’t your thing, we also have 2 paddles boards and plenty of floats for you to explore the creek by water! Follow us on IG @buffalocreekhideaway.

We are located 15 minutes from Lexington's main attractions - Natural Bridge, Historic Downtown Lexington, Virginia Military Institute, Washington and Lee, and the Virginia Horse Center. Also nearby are wineries, breweries, and lots of hiking trails. Enjoy the quaint shops downtown, the wonderful restaurants, horse-drawn carriage rides, Lime Kiln Theater (an outdoor summer concert venue), and historic Hull's Drive-In Theater - to name a few.

Our 3 bedroom, 3 bath cabin is tucked away on a hillside overlooking Buffalo Creek. Situated on 5 mostly wooded acres, this is the perfect place to come let your stress melt away. Enjoy paddle-boarding, fishing, exploring the property, or just pure relaxation as you rock your worries away on the front porch, or by the fire pit listening to the sounds of running rapids. Inside you'll find over 2300 sq ft of living space. The main level features a cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace and chess table, a large eat-in kitchen, bedroom, full bath, washer/dryer, and a dedicated workspace. The second floor includes the master bedroom with en suite, another full bathroom, and a kids bedroom fitted with two bunkbeds that sleeps 4 children. However, when they're not outside, you'll probably find your kids having fun on the third floor where there's a full-size ping pong table, foosball table, and a daybed that can accommodate two additional guests.

Very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again. One comment- the house needs better cook ware. A large frying pan. 😊 Everything else was perfect!

Great Relaxing Cabin
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. There are so many lovely touches and details for you to enjoy. It is off the beaten path, but definitely close to everything you need in the area. Comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen also added to our stay. We had a great time!

Great property, very clean and well suited for our group of adults. Cozy, comfortable and food amenities. We didn't get to enjoy the fireplace or fire pit, but we'll be returning and take advantage of those next time! Great place!

The house was the perfect size for 9 people. The creek was a great place to fish, tube and paddle board. We were able to see the meteor shower, the sky was so clear.

Great mountain getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay! This home is clean, well-loved and well decorated. Lots of special details (stocked coffee/tea station in the kitchen and makeup removing towelettes in the bathrooms). We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch for morning coffee. The wildlife at the creek was beautiful and plentiful. Some of us had to cut our stay a little short, so we didn’t get to spend as much time at the house as we would have liked. We did get to enjoy Natural Bridge and the Caverns, shopping in town, and lovely dining at Napa Thai. We also went to the community-funded drive-in theater for opening night of the Barbie movie. I would definitely recommend Buffalo Creek Hideaway and we would stay there again!

Home away from home
Our stay was the perfect get away from city life. The house was immaculate and provided all the things we needed for our stay. We stayed with another family, and no one wanted to leave the house to enjoy the other things that the town had to offer. The home was so comfortable and it felt like home away from home. We would definitely stay again!
