"Great apartment in a great location. There is a mini mart, bar and Gelato place next door. This is all very convenient and added to the over all enjoyment of our stay. A small beach is just a few steps away, we swam, had lunch and enjoyed this very much. What would make this place much better is more comfortable mattresses and more luxurious pillows. A few hundred dollars and a trip to IKEA for some new premium mattresses and pillows would go a long way to making visitors enjoy this...

"Gorgeous view, exactly as pictured. The property is tucked away into a series of apartments which are themselves beautiful with many winding stone paths to reach the apartment. I would absolutely stay again, amazing value and we had a great stay. Parking would be a challenge outside low season. And one of the besrooms is more of a loft (no privacy) but we felt the overall condition and location of the place made up for it."

"Pictures don’t do justice to the view that awaits the renter of this apartment! The lake and the surrounding mountains are stunning. The apartment is nice and comfortable with a great balcony to enjoy the view. I would recommend getting there during the day since it can be a bit tricky at night. Pay attention to the fact that there are 3 flights of steps to climb, but if steps are not a problem, the view is totally worth it!!!"

Lots to do in area and close to boat hire and water sports hire places. Good restaurants nearby in Sorico. The natural spring is quite challenging to get to but a good adventure. No complaints - would recommend! "

"We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property. "

"Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"We had a wonderful time staying in this apartment. Its much larger than it appears on the photographs and is beautifully decorated and obviously loved. It is very well appointed and immaculately clean. "Directions to the unit were clear, we found the property easily. The 3 km road leading to it from the main road is incredibly narrow most of the time but even with traffic it is doable. We had everything we needed for our stay, kitchen items, washer, dishwasher. Our host even provided a welcome gift of pasta and tomato sauce and a bottle of wine. Wifi was good. Communication with the host was excellent. I can highly recommend this place to anyone."
