"The small house is in a secluded spot with fantastic views of Castiglione and the mountains, both from the terrace as well as the bedroom. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a really nice addition. The owners welcomed us with traditional food and wine, which was very unexpected but very welcome when we arrived in the late afternoon. They also provided us with a lot of recommendations regarding both restaurants and fun things to do in the area. We highly recommend the house and plan to be back. "

"This is an excellent holiday property. You climb up to it via hairpin bends so take your time and just let the locals pass you in thier Fiat Pandas. The house is a few hunded metres out of village and such a tranquil spot. I almost dont want to give a god review to stop this place becoming to booked up for my next visit but that would be selfish. On the first morning when you throw open the french doors and sit and take in the views you will know you made the right choice. The hosts pop along each morning and clean the pool for you. We used to sunbathe in or by the pool until afterlunch then go and exploreintbe afternoon. We went through the mountains to the coast and beach watching the sun go down whilst standing on the pier. Then drove to lucca for supper. One afternoon we visited pisa and paid for parking near to the tower. One afternoon we did bagni de lucca and barga We also watched the sun go down and casting wonderful sun light over the mountain and trees at lake gramalazzo before eating in a taverna. We walked up to the fortess and then recovered whilst drinking lovelly cold drinks and trying to work out how some one drove thier Fiat panda up a parked outside the gates. In summary as long as you are confident driving on the wrong side of the road dont hesitate and book this house you will not be dissapointed. "

"This hotel is adorable. It’s comfortable modern inside of a traditional Tuscan building and it’s so so charming. The owners are charming too and they are on top of every last amenity. I were oils easily stay here again! I loved our stay "

"When we arrived at our place we were relieved as the drive up the mountain was a bit scary the closer we got. When we opened the doors we were ecstatic at how nice the house was. Better than the online pictures. So much space and the views were breathtaking and different every morning. Wildlife out our back door. So many fire flies. Henné the property manager was so friendly and accommodating and helpful. Brought us coffee even after I said we were going for our own she arrived to meet us without any then went back out to get us some when I said we got lost going to the store. The little store we eventually found and it was really so easy to get to where we could order fresh bread for next day pick up. Henné gave us many tips and ideas of things to do in the area which we ran out of time to do. Maybe someday we’ll be back. The one tip I would give getting to the place is there’s a sign that says Vallechia. It’s a sharp left going upwards then the first sharp right. A sign at the sharp right would be most helpful as we missed it and had to back down the steep road. But once we arrived and knew where we were going I highly recommend this location👍"
