"Our stay was amazing, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff took time to take us round that was very unique. I particularly like the tiling of the floors and walls."
"There are two Kakwele Lodges. The one we stayed at was further from the airport in a back street of Lusaka, about a 20 minute drive. We were charged $15 for each of the 4 journeys to and from the airport, which I considered to be excessive.
The room at the lodge was adequate, but a little cramped (especially the shower). Lighting was dim with no bedside or desk light. There were broken loose tiles around the small pool.
Service was friendly but less than prompt.
Although we had only one of...
"I've stayed twice now at The Prince Charles Hotel. It is a really nice new clean building, with comfortable beds. But it's in an odd location far from almost everything (it was close to a residence I was visiting). But it's so quirky- some rooms have no external windows. There are usually no hangers in the wardrobe, or available at reception. In your room you can hear everything echoing in the hallway. The shower is an eight-headed sprayer on the wall of the bathroom, so EVERYTHING in the...
"the place is good, the service is good, but the lodge could use a few upgrades such as wifi, but apart from that the place is nice and worth the price"

"I booked my stay when i arrived in Lusaka late at night. When i got to Acamms the receptionist was refused for me to stay there although i had a receipt from Expedia from my email. Long story short i had to find an alternative hotel in the middle of the night in Lusaka. I contacted Expedia on the 13th about getting a refund and up to now they are still getting in touch with Acamms. So bad service from both Acamms and Expedia. Book at your own risk."
"The single worst hotel experience of my time in Africa: I asked the hotel if I was settled with my bill when I was checking out. They said yes: I needed to pay with credit card since I have no local currency.
Almost half an hour after dropping me off at the airport, the driver showed up & refused to let me go through security: he didn't have any paperwork, balance or a credit card machine & started harassing me loudly and embarrassingly all around the airport for a balance for the shuttle. He...

"Great hotel in Central Lusaka, half an hour from the airport (600 kwachi cab ride). Feels upscale. Good food in the restaurants and breakfast buffet. Clean room, nice and quiet, good neighborhood, surprisingly affordable. I stayed two nonconsecutive nights and had an equally excellent experience both times. "
"Very nice hotel. Breakfast and dinner had many options and all were good. Our only problem was out key card wouldn’t work all the time and have to get new ones. "
