"This is a lovely hotel not far from the port and the town center, where you’ll find lots of shops and restaurants. It’s also not far from the archeological museum and the old port. The proprietors were friendly and helpful. The pool was empty but likely that was because it’s early April - I’m sure it’s amazing in the summer time!"

"Incredibly charming and comfortable, and its situation in town is absolutely perfect. I adored the building, the room, the tiny street view, and the accessibility to everything. Anna the concierge/hostess at the hotel was lovely, friendly and so helpful. I miss being there! If there's just one tiny complaint, it's that the bed and pillows were kinda hard, but I got over it considering the rest of the beauty I was surrounded by."

"A good value place to stay. Handy for main areas, 15 mins from ferry. Good size room but the tiniest shower ever. Make sure you arrange a check in time in advance as there was no one there when I arrived and had to track owner down by phone before he eventually came and let me in."

"One of the best locations on the island for first time visitors. You get off the ferry and in a three minute walk you are at the hotel. The hotel is italian-style with the owner checking you in and someone else at the front desk helping out too. The owner takes pride in his hotel you can tell so make sure to not complain or give him any problems and then he is friendly. "Amazing view of the Sea and mountains from the balcony. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and management. Free shuttle to and from port upon arrival and departure. Excellent location within walking distance of town center, port, restaurants etc. Extremely spacious room, with kitchenette. Lipari is a gorgeous island and an excellent hub to explore the surrounding Aeolian islands from."

"Accueil au minimum de ce qu'on peut attendre, salle de bain dans un triste état (douche, pomme de douche, ventilation : tout HS). La porte de chambre n'a pas de serrure sécurisée, type placard, vitrée. Vieille demeure et logement pas du tout réhabilité. Par contre, très belle vue directe sur le petit port de Lipari. Belle situation sur le port, et au coeur de la zone touristique. Très agréable de prendre le petit déjeuner sur un balcon., mais n'y allez pas pour sa qualité (pains et biscottes...

But learn to throw open the shutters on the three windows to let as much light in as possible. "Hotel Oriente was in a great location. Easy walk to the main street and both of the marinas. Friendly and helpful staff with a good breakfast. Lovely garden areas and so many museum pieces everywhere to look at. Would choose to stay again on our next visit to the beautiful island of Lipari."
