Our host provded instructions of how to access the apartment.
It was compact but had what we needed, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, dining table, the bathroom was small but quirky.
Great location, Santa Apolonia train, metro & bus stops were under 5 mins walk away. Very near the Panteão Nacional & the Military Museum & its a lovely walk past the marina to Praca do Comercio in approx 25mins.
numerous restaurants and corner shops to get food and drinks although much cheaper to stock up at Lidl a short bus journey away.
Price- Compared to other apartments, it was much cheaper, and we just wanted basic
accomodation
-we couldn't find a light switch on the ground floor so arriving in the dark was tricky. Once you get to the 2nd floor, an automatice light comes on
-very narrow door to get into the building so be mindful with extra large luggage
-Advertised as suitable for 2 adults and a 10 year old, it wasnt really, it was 2 single beds pushed together, I opted to sleep on the ancient couch as I'm not very tall, and to be honest it was softer than the beds! (we could have contacted our our host but didnt as we had had room issues at a hotel in Lagos in the summer which involved packing and unpacking our suitcases 3 times & I couldnt face that!) So more suitable for 2 people really.
-There was only enough hot water for one person to have a shower before the water would heat up again.
I would stay again if there were 3 beds as the price & location were fab
