Very enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting. Clean comfortable room and pet friendly good for us. Kim and John very friendly and breakfast was great a lot of local and home grown food. We would stay again.

Well worth booking

Perfect spot for Bodmin Moor and beyond

Great location for a 3-day stay in beautiful surroundings right next to Bodmin Moor. We were well looked after by the welcoming and attentive host. Particularly enjoyed the sights and sounds of swifts nesting in the barns.

Very hospitable. Owner sorted out a number of chores for me too, FOC. I said I wouldn’t bother with an internet review, but actually I was so well looked after, I’m just writing my first!

Not worth the money

This is a room to rent ( one of 2) in a persons home. This is different to other B&Bs I’ve stayed at and I felt quite uncomfortable in the set up. There was no lock on the room door, walls and floors were paper thin so you could hear everything happening in the next room and the kitchen below. The hearing went off overnight despite it being a bitterly cold day and night and there was nowhere to sit other than our bedroom. In the morning we were served breakfast in a tiny alcove open to the front and back door, it was cold here also. Breakfast was average but the golde raspberry jam ( homemade) was off. Kim was very friendly.

Amazing stay

Yet again an amazing stay a warm welcome from Kim and John and not forgetting Bella and RAF the most comfortable bed and a breakfast to feed an army with views to die for !!!! Highly recommended cannot wait to stay again

Perfect place for a getaway

Kim and John made us feel very at home from the start of our five day stay and we loved everything about The Threshing House. It is in a peaceful location with fabulous views and is a good base from which to explore lots of places. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a small ensuite shower room. The cooked breakfast was delicious and plentiful with cereals, fruit, homemade yoghurt and jams on offer too. Kim was extremely friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We would certainly recommend this B&B.

Beautiful

Though it was rainy weather, we could not have asked for better surroundings or a more welcoming host. Kim went out of her way to advise us about venues for our evening meal, and the breakfast was lovely. A large room with a very comfortable bed. Thank you Kim - lovely to meet you.

Very Comfortable Stay

We had a lovely 2 night break-staying for a nearby wedding. Kim was very welcoming and made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent with eggs from Kim's own hens. Would definitely recommend a stay at The Threshing House.

Lovely place!

Stayed for one night with my son. Great location for us, being close to relatives. Room was comfortable and clean, Kim was really helpful and friendly, breakfast was amazing! Would definitely make a return visit.

Fantastic B&B in a beautiful location

Very enjoyable stay in a large, well-appointed room with everything we needed. Stunning location, very peaceful and quiet. Host was most friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The Threshing House was VERY dog-friendly (one of the reasons we chose it) and Bruno loved exploring. Conveniently located for exploring the historic mining heartland and post-industrial landscape. Nice breakfast, with lovely home-made jams and jellies - it doesn't get much better than grapefruit & black currant marmalade in a croissant! Top quality WiFi was also very useful. This is a B&B for our 'must try to book again' list.
