We loved this house and the location. It was super clean and had a vintage charm about it. We had plenty of room for my two boys, 20 and 23 years old, and myself, the 49 year old mom. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The boys slept on the twin beds and said they slept pretty good. The 20 year old decided to sleep on the sofa the next night and he said that it slept pretty good too. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, so we pretty much just slept there and took showers. Both boys did take a shower in the master bath since the guest bath did not have a shower curtain. I can see younger kids loving the guest bathroom using the hand held shower while sitting in the tub.
On a personal note, the neighborhood where this house is located brought back many memories from childhood summers. Across the road was my great grandmother's house, we couldn't believe her house was across the street! This trip to Live Oak was to celebrate my grandmother's 88th birthday. I was only 2-3 minutes from her house. Other family members stayed at the hotels out by Interstate 10 and they were envious of us because we had a house with room to move freely. We hope to stay here again! My brother, who was staying at one of the hotels, stopped by to check out the house and said that he would like to rent this house when he returns to Live Oak with his family of 5. He loved it just as much as we did! My mom thought it was cute as a button too! Now that my other family members know about the house, we may be fighting over who will stay there next. It was cheaper than the hotels!
Thank you! Our stay was better than expected!
