For a lodge with bar/lounge and restaurant, there wasn't nothing at all, they had just 2 bottles of water and Coca-Cola, I had to change for another lodge

Liked: Staff & service
Coming back after 50 years
We had just come of a 15 day safari and just wanted to chill out. Limbo Lodge is affordable and the staff will look after you very well. It is not perfect with a few things to be fixed but it has the warmth of a home. The food was simple but freshly cooked and hot. The choices weren't big but ok. My partner had lived in Livingstone 50 years ago and he and his sister were on a reminiscing journey, so we didn't want anything fancy. Limbo Lodge was just the right place to stay for us. Thank you to all the staff at Limbo Lodge for making our stay enjoyable.
It was a joy to come back to the Limbo Lodge - enjoy a quick dip in the well maintained pool - and work a bit in the evening. It was a quiet retreat from the work and business of the town. We had easy access to town, but it felt like we were out in the bush. The staff was attentive, the breakfast excellent, and the price was right. This is a pleasant place to stay at a reasonable price.
I had booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for 7. The staff were really friendly and could not do enough for us. The room was very clean with good air con. The food was excellent although a very limited menu. The owner Kingsley was very helpful and friendly. Jonathan the head waiter could not have been more helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend the lodge. The only downside is that it is located quite a distance from Livingstone and there are no buses
The Limbo Lodge is a cute and comfortable place to stay. The room was clean and the facilities had the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. It is a little out of the main part of town but I didn't mind and enjoyed the walk there as a part of exploring the city. The staff was helpful, kind, and attentive. One situation occurred during my visit though which was a negative experience. I am a female and was spending the night alone in my room. An unknown male came to my door a couple of times at night, trying to talk to me and have me come out. This situation was uncomfortable and worrying for me. There was no phone in the room for me to call the reception desk. Ultimately the man never returned and I was safe. Despite this negative experience, I would still recommend the Limbo Lodge. I brought the situation to their attention the following day before I left so hopefully this type of harassment doesn't occur again there.
I had a great experience at this hotel. I was traveling alone and the entire staff made me feel like family. Jonathon, was invaluable to me. He helped me figure out equipment and food needs for a village school I found in my travels that needed help and took me into town to pick out the things they needed. He also drove me to the boarder when I headed to Zimbabwe. Kingsley, the owner, took me to visit a technical school in the area that is helping orphans and leading youth away from prostitution. He returned to the village with me to meet the people I want to help, took photos for me, and offered to deliver food to them after I leave. Such great people! They helped me to see the real Zimbabwe, instead of just the tourist sites. I will definitely return there and recommend it to all my friends.
the small Thatched cottages were really perfect for a good nights sleep. We were visiting Victoria Falls and stayed two nights at the Limbo Lodge. the bathrooms were adequate, hot water plentiful, setting peaceful and quiet. The nice veranda was a surprise bonus.
Staff here were friendly. While it is not in the center of town taxi service is inexpensive and easy to find.I will stay at the Limbo next time I visit Livingstone
Our stay was awful. The rooms are dark, dingy and felt unclean. Mosquito net doesn't cover the bed properly. Wifi doesn't work in the room and it's extremely slow when it does. The shower curtain rod fell on top of me since it was not properly secured. No toiletries provided just a small bar of soap. The pool looks nice but no chairs in the pool area. Customer service was awful. They claim to have 24 hour front desk but there was no one on sight on several occasions. The "breakfast" was white bread, butter, one jam choice, and two cereal choices. The coffee was like drinking water it was so bad. The "restaurant" had three choices (chicken, beef or fish) while we were there. There was a menu but we didn't get to look at it because they only had the three choices. The front desk person didn't seem to know anything about excursions. The location is also horrible - far from everything and you have to pay the shuttle to take you to town or the falls. We actually left this hotel a night early and went someplace else. Don't stay here!
Kingsley, Vanessa & the rest of the staff are brilliant! Nothing is too much trouble. I told kingsley about the bedding feedback & he has committed to updating throughout all cottages. The rooms are clean, hot water, food is great both breakfast & evening meal, safe location & an enjoyable stay. Kingsley also showed me around a few of the local communities & charitable projects - well worth doing, eg Mukuni soap. See the real Livinstone / Zambia!!
