"Owner was out of town so it took a few tries to get check in instructions, but he was apologetic and otherwise very responsive to questions. Accommodations were clean, modest, and accurately described. We appreciated already stocked coffee and laundry supplies. Updating the pots/pans, stocking shampoo/conditioner/soaps, and instructions for TV streaming would add alot to the value. "

"This is a second floor apartment that has a lot of lovely features. The host clearly has put time into making it comfortable and pretty. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen works well. The bathroom is old but works fine. The challenges were that the listing showed bunk beds and a king bed, but it was two king beds, which made it hard to find sleeping for two teenagers who don't sleep well together. To be fair, the host apologized and brought over extra blankets so we could use the futon....

"The pics and descriptions don't do this place justice. The renovations are gorgeous. Layout is perfect - I didn't want to leave! Kitchen is huge and the upscale appliances are awesome. "Location was perfect for what we needed, close to the U of IL stadium lots. We absolutely loved the 3-season porch, both to wind down in the evening and for coffee in the morning (pics don't do that justice - there was a lot of table/seating out there) - that was the best part! Inside was no frills but super functional. Most rental homes now have Roku TVs and you need your own subscriptions, but we couldn't find the remote that had most of the functions - we ended up turning it on/off along the...

"We were sending our son to college and stayed for 5 nights. We also remotely work at the dinning room. Beds are comfortable. Lots of towels, toilet paper and Kleenex. We also enjoyed the coffee pods supplied in the kitchen, so we didn't have to buy coffee. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again if we go back to visit."

"Cozy, but not cluttered, clean well appointed property. Close to our favorite bakeries, Art Mart and Sun Singer and a short drive to the Virginia Theatre. Soft sheets and duvets, fluffy adult size towels. Nice coffee bar and snacks. Comfy front and back porches extend the size of the home, beautiful back yard and paved off street parking, quiet treelined street. Excellent instructions and communication from the host.
