"Beautiful old school grand hotel. Would be perfect for a weekend getaway. I was passing through, just a one night last minute booking. The hotel had a wedding booked so the restaurant and bar were closed. The hotel staff messaged me ahead of time to warn me, but I didn’t receive in time. "This hotel is definitely budget class but is very convenient for shopping and getting to the railway or us station. Tirano is great place to stay, but this hotel does not do much in food. Breakfast finishes at 9am and the hotel does not supply any facility in the rooms for making a hot drink. No fridge."

"A beautiful and tranquil b&b. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. It is very hard to get to by public transport if you are hoping to explore lake como but we were picked up from the station and lent bicycles for our stay which was so helpful and made a really nice addition to our holiday (we definitely felt silly for not researching the transport enough before). We will definitely come back! "

"Perfect location right in the heart of the activity. Lots of shops and restaurants at your finger tips. I wish the room had air conditioning and no tea/coffee in the room which would have been nice so only gave 4 stars for that. The room/hotel is fairly old but has been reno'd slightly. Free parking...slightly off site but near by, just park and take your bags in first and then park otherwise a bit of a hike. "Reasonable pricing. Restaurant was closed but pizzeria was open. Old building and the sound travels from the halls and occupants nearest to you. Views are beautiful though so that made up for the noise. We did a big drive so still slept well. Staff are lovely and helpful "

"I miss ths place. I liked privacy and feel that we were only inhabitants despite there were other groups.European type kitchen in apartment . I like the feeling that everything in the building was secure and strong.We had best breathtaking views ever possible over Bormio town down in the basin which is surrounded by 10.000 feet multiple snowy peaks.This residence is 1000 feet above Bormio so be prepared to drive switchbacks on a quite narrow lane in a traffic sometimes .Grocery store is few...
