Pleasant enough Travelodge, with the usual facilities and usually very good value. What I especially liked about this one is that it's in an old Co-op department store, with some nice features, including a WW1 plague for Co-op employees and a fine old staircase.
Also, it's a newer one that offers a higher standard breakfast, which we took up too.
Location is great, with overland rail to central London, DLR across the river to Stratford, and finally, two rather unique travel methods. Firstly, a free ferry across the Thames to London City Airport and an Edwardian underground tunnel across the Thames.
