Welcome to Octopus Lair. Relax and have fun in this brand new townhouse on the quiet north end of town. Just a nice walk along a dune trail gets you to the expansive beach and the glorious sunsets. Inside, you and your loved ones can enjoy making meals in the new kitchen or relaxing in the living room by the gas fireplace. Out back there is a covered deck, cozy deck furniture, and propane grill. If you're into games there is a shuffleboard table, Xbox, ping pong, darts, and a Ms Pacman 2-player pub table that plays for free.

* JuiceBox 40 EV charging station for your electric car with J1772 standard. Charging is free to guests.
* Brand new 2 Story Town house, 3 bdr, 3ba, 5 beds, and garage.
* FIRST FLOOR - full kitchen, living room, laundry room, ½ bath, Bedroom with attached full bathroom and walk in closet
* SECOND FLOOR - 2 bedrooms and full bathroom
* Sleeps 8, INCLUDING infants (city rule), but your maximum occupancy is the people in your booking, including children and infants.
* Quiet hours 10pm to 8am (city rule). This includes indoor noise that may disturb neighbors. It is a city ordinance.
* Dogs allowed, only, limit 2 dogs, with $75 fee. No other animals or pets. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the house or garage at any time, unless kenneled.
* Just a short walk, on a dune path, to the beach
* Town house is across the street from the beginning of the Discovery Trail
* One block from Peninsula golf course
* On the quiet north edge of Long Beach WA, but just minutes from downtown
* Maximum stay 7 days, but contact us for waiver.
* Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. but no food. Guests provide their own food.
* Per city rule- Limit 3 vehicles total at the house and no parking in the cul de sac. No room for trailers or RVs.
* There is one security camera, facing the driveway, that records video 24/7, but no sound. It is outside above the front door and faces the driveway.
* There is one "Minut" decibel reader in the house. It alerts to loud noises. It does not recognize voices, words, or record.
* The person who booked the property must be present during the length of the stay. Your rate is calculated based on your dates and number of guests. It is always a good idea to enter your accurate number of guests when searching. The base rate covers the first 4 guests. After that is is an additional $20 per guest per night, which is all included in the charges you see during the booking process.
* Outside guests or visitors are not permitted. We respectfully put forth that only those on the reservation may access the property.

* This is a non smoking property. No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted on the condo building property, including the back deck.

Amazing stay

Perfect Getaway Spot
This property is spotless and well maintained. Both common areas and the bedrooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-lit. The kitchen is big and has everything in it to prepare and enjoy a meal. The beach and the trail head of the Discovery Trail are near by. A perfect spot for five friends to celebrate New Year’s!

Beautiful comfort within walking distance of the beach
We had a wonderful stay, plenty of space to spread out, the shuffle board, ping pong, and pac man cabinet were a great bonus for the kids (and the adults). The house was clean and well decorated and stocked. And the beach was only a short walk away. We will definitely be back!

Was one of the best places we have stayed at in Long Beach so far. We’ve been coming to rod run for 7 years. It was beautiful inside, clean, convenient access to the strip & beach, and easy parking. If I could give 6 stars on everything I would.

We had a great time at Octopus Lair! The house was well appointed and clean. We played lots of shuffle board and darts. It’s an easy walk to the beach and Discovery Trail. Town is a short drive. Sandy was very helpful and communicative.

Great Location and abode!
Located in a quaint quite cul-de-sac we loved everything about this house. Had all the amenities plus and it’s boy approved ( PacMan, shuffleboard, ping-pong) has all the games! Only item that could improve it would be a quieter timer for the fireplace it was quite loud 👍

Lovely getaway
Hosted a girls night for some friends visiting from out of town - we had a great time and everyone thought this place was so charming and nice. Very clean, well set up for gathering and socializing, kitchen is just right for serving snacks and making a big breakfast. We walked to dinner and passed a couple of other places that would have been fun to try. I would definitely come back, and other guests suggested we should too.

The Octopus Lair was a perfect place for our family get together. All the amenities you would expect and then some. Shuffleboard and ping pong for family fun. The beach was a short walk across the dunes. The October weather was warm and we had miles of beach all to ourselves. Great communication with the owner. The Octopus Lair is a great place for families to come together.

We had a lovely stay in Long beach. Access was keyless and easy to use. Condo matched pictures and was just as described. All the amenities of home. Beach access for driving was close by. Beautiful sunsets. First time to the peninsula but probably not the best. Bike rental availble in LB and easy ride to Cape Disappointment. Would recommend this place, 5 stars

Perfect family spot.
We had a wonderful time! Had a few hiccups and the owner was wonderful to work with! This is a middle unit so sound rules in the late evening must be respected. But again owner was very kind and understanding. House has a ton of games for kids and a lot of pre-downloaded Xbox games and streaming platforms. Beach access is a hefty walk, no vehicle access from/near property. Area feels very safe, a surrounding units are well maintained. Home is beautiful and very clean. Bring your own pillows, beds are very firm.

Beware Hidden Costs!
I’ve yet to stay in VRBO property with this many hidden costs — the host fees were actually more than the base cost per night. Expect to pay an extra fee per night, per guest above 2 — even though house sleeps 8! And despite an exorbitant cleaning fee for a two night stay, we still had to make two of the beds. Add on an extra “management fee" for the host and this feels more like a scam than a legitimate vacation rental.

Great location and great amenities
The property was very clean. The amenities were awesome for families. Plenty of games for the kids, digital and otherwise. The little things like shower gel and a cart to transport items to and from the beach were great. It was only a short walk to the sand, maybe a 5 minute walk without the cart. The cart was a bit heavy for the sandy terrain but overall I appreciated the workout and it added about 5-10 extra minutes to the journey to and from... Loved the space bit I'm clearly not an open floor plan person, I felt I could hear everything that happened throughout the whole home, but that's more of a personal dislike. There were plenty of kid dishes and utensils, love there was an ice maker on the fridge. The little details like washing detergent, extra poop bags for the dog, and the coffee and creamer were really awesome and made the stay that much easier. Checkout was super easy as well, it was the least amount of work I've had to do to check out. I've had other properties require all the linens to be washed which adds a lot if you're juggling packing up and getting the kids and dog ready to leave, so I really appreciate just having to straighten up the kitchen and run the dish washer. The location to downtown Long Beach was also very convenient, I thought we were far enough out of town for it to be pretty peaceful, but close enough to drive and be in the middle of the hubbub within only a 3-4 min drive. We will be back!
