A lovely Old Florida renovated pet and family friendly private home, located on a private deep water canal with direct access to Sarasota Bay and only a short 3 minutes walk (200 meters) away from the quiet white sand beach perfect for morning beach-combing and end of day amazing golden sunsets. The house is surrounded by a well maintained natural garden, with owner & locally based maintenance team readily available to ensure your pleasant stay. The private pool is solar heated! The house come equip with everything you'll need for a home away from home like towels/linens, all kitchenware, board games, beach towels, beach toys, booggie boards, beach cart, bikes, scooters, game boards, etc.
Located in the prestigious yet laid back island of Longboat Key, you are near venues for golf, tennis, fishing, kayaking, boating, water skiing, and wind surfing. The world class shopping and restaurants in St. Armand Circle and laid back charms of Anna Maria Island are minutes away. A private pool is accessible from both the master and guest bedrooms. The deep salt water canal with a new dock can accommodate boats up to 27 ft. Our boat dock is available for docking your private boat or kayaks, or just for fishing enjoyment.

Our home comes completely equipped with everything you'll need for a beach holiday! During your stay here, you can enjoy our well kept garden or relax in our complete Tommy Bahamas furnished interior, which comes fully equipped with modern conveniences such as wireless internet (bring your own laptop), cable TV in living and master bedroom, phone line, a full library of DVD movies, Ihome for Iphone/Ipod/Ipad docks, board games, outdoor BBQ grill, and new cooling/heating system. The kitchen comes fully equipped for your culinary adventures or just simple grilling out on the new outdoor Weber gas grill. For your beach activities we have coolers, matching Tommy Bahamas' beach chairs and beach cart, 4 bicycles, scooters, boogie boards, beach/pool toys/beach umbrellas. The pool is well maintained and has a weekly service. The home is tiled throughout (including garage), and updated appliances including washer and dryer make this property the ideal home away from home.

Idyllic!
House exactly as listed, super clean,very comfortable, The owner, Alise, is very responsive. She has equipped her home with every amenitie. Beautifully furnished throughout. Pool is a treat. One car garage with tiled floor!! Space on driveway for one more car. Easy walk to beach. Four minute drive to St.Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. In short, five stars all the way. We are already booked for next June! Thank you, Alise! Our stay was pure heaven!! Keep right

Comfortable beach house with a great pool
Property was as pictured: roomy, clean; beds very comfortable; bathroom shower great. We’ve previously rented homes with private pools in Longboat but the pool at this house was the best by far. We had warmer than usual weather while we were there so the solar heating really made the pool enjoyable every day. There were plenty of dishes; glassware and various utensils, including a zester and chopsticks. The house is well equipped with beach chairs, umbrella, pool floats and a beach cart. While we didn’t use them, there also were bikes and some fishing gear as well. The garage was clean and organized. We had no problem parking 2 cars (a van and a SUV) in the driveway. Alise was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions I had. She checked in with us halfway thru our stay just to make sure all was good. On several days, a blue heron visited us at the dock and by the pool and hung out with us for quite a while. The location of the house was perfect and within walking distance to Harry’s Deli and restaurant; Lazy Lobster; Joan Durante Park and our favorite pizza place, Solorzanos. We definitely would consider renting here again in the future.

Loved our stay here! The owner was wonderful and quick to respond to all communications. The home was clean and spacious and included any amenity you could possibly need. The location was close to the beach and the private pool was fantastic! Definitely will return!

We stayed in Alise's home for a full month and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. House is located on a lovely, quiet street.The kitchen was well-stocked with pots and pans, serving dishes, wine glasses, etc... so we cooked in most of the time due to the scheduled of our 9 month and 3 year old grandchildren. The house was spacious, with a large garage, a beach wagon (definitely came in handy), loads of beach toys and even fishing rods and a tackle box. My son and I caught several fish from the dock (backyard) on the canal. It was so very pleasant sitting on the dock in the early evening since there was always a pleasant breeze. There were plenty of bath towels, sheets and beach towels on hand. The pool was solar heated so it took a little time to warm up due to a cold spell. When it was warm enough to swim in it was a "gift" to have! The best part of the visit was the close location to the beach; an easy walk across one narrow road. If you do wish to eat out there is a wonderful selection of restaurants close to Alise's home. Alise was always available whenever we had a question. Overall, no complaints about the house or the location.

Nice canal home with short beach access
This is a nice home on a canal with a short walk to the beach. Unfortunately while we were there we had Red Tide in the area, but by having our boat right outside our door, we were able to hop right in and find clear water for swimming in the ICW. This was our second time at this same home as it checked all the right boxes for us (canal, beach, private pool). It is well equipped with kitchen supplies and beach supplies. The owner is great at communicating.

Good spot for boating, beach, shopping, and restaurants
We had a comfortable one-week stay at this property. My husband enjoyed having his fishing boat right outside the back door, and I enjoyed the pool and the proximity to shopping and restaurants. We tend to travel with the items we need, but this owner has a thoughtful number of beach amenities available for use.

The house was fine and well equipped, with exception to laundry detergent, to get all towels laundries as asked, and trash bags. The street is very narrow and drive way is barely adequate for a truck. It was difficult to pull in and out of the driveway. Getting the trailer parked next to the house was extremely difficult.

Great Family Vacation!
We spent a week at this well-appointed house and didn't want to leave. The house is situated on a quiet street, but in walking distance to a beautiful private beach. You just need to cross the Gulf of Mexico Drive and walk down a short path. It's a quiet beach with spectacular sunsets. They provide all beach necessities and a cart to get everything down there. There are also some chairs on the beach in addition to the beach chairs they provide. All in great shape. The house is spotless, it consists of three bedrooms and two well sized bathrooms (one ensuite). I use VRBO a lot, this was the most organized rental that I have stayed in. The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of drawers, closet space and though there is central air, there were fans in every bedroom. Two bedrooms have sliders out to the cute pool area. There is ample lighting outside, as well as seating by the pool. We loved returning from the beach and hanging by the pool until dinner. The house is situated on the canal and our adult kids were obsessed with fishing in the canal (poles, tackle in garage). It became a daily ritual along with coffee/ cocktail out at the canal. *Bring bug spray for no-see-ums! Speaking of the garage, there is a washer and dryer, and everything else one might want on vacation, including 4 bikes. The kitchen literally had everything to cook and entertain- including champagne glasses for a crowd! We were able to host my in-laws from Sarasota and toast my daughter's graduation. Plenty of space! The living area is cozy and comfy and had a big screen tv. There is a small step down to dining area, but marked with yellow for safety. There was ample linens, towels, beach towels, dish towels. On to the yard- well manicured and fun plantings. Grill worked, but a bit worn. The neighbors were friendly and we enjoyed walks in the opposite direction to the bay. One HUGE perk is that Harry's market, deli and restaurant are in walking distance, as is the Lazy Lobster and the Blue Dolphin, so if inclined to eat out- you don't even have to drive. Publix is 10 min down the road. The house is central to visiting AMI and Lido Key (St Armand Circle). The house had a binder of info and menus. Lastly, the owner was so easy to communicate with and the process of booking and leaving was effortless! The keyless entry was also so convenient. I hope to return again and have already recommended the house to friends and family. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Spring Break Vacation
My family and I stayed at this home in April 2021 and loved it! The location is perfect for walking to the beach and the pool was a nice change from the sand. The garage was neat and organized with everything needed for a day at the beach. It was perfect! We loved the quiet, peaceful neighborhood and the proximity on the Island to everything we love! Our daughters 3 and 8years old, loved the landscaping and having a bit of grass on the side to play in. They could also easily walk to the beach with us. We had such a fantastic week. Great location for boaters and beach lovers!
We had a great overall experience at this property. The home sits directly on a canal with a very convenient boat dock just out the back door. Plus it is only a few hundred yards to the beach, so it really is the best of both worlds. The kitchen is small, but well equipped. Lots of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and toys. Only issue was we could've used more TP and dishwashing detergent, so suggest you bring your own. But overall, a really great option to stay on Long Boat Key!

Great Vacation cut short by Covid 19
This is a very cute beach house on beautiful Longboat Key. The amenities in the home were great...making it easy to abide by the social distancing requirements put in place during our stay. Thankfully the weather was warm so the pool heated up sufficiently to be able to swim and enjoy our own private pool - no need to social distance! Alise was extremely responsive to our inquiries. She has a great relationship with the neighbors who also helped us out. Loved our shortened time there...hope to be able to visit again soon.

The beach is very close as advertised and not crowded at all. We never had anyone within 50 yards of us on the beach and we went to the ocean every day. Lots of good restaurants close by. The house was clean and comfortable. This one is a definite winner.

Fantastic location, approximately 1 block from the beach. House was clean, comfortable beds, kitchen fully stocked (pots, pans, dishes, even an ice cream scoop). . Garage had beach cart, canopy, chairs, pool toys, everything you could possibly need. My husband loved the Weber grill . We all enjoyed the pool . Husband and son caught a few fish in the canal . Loved this place!
We loved our stay, can’t wait to come back! The pool was great we spent a lot of time there! The kids fished off the canal and it was full of tiny fish! The neighbors were welcoming and a lot of them had pets they walked every night by the house! I think the best part was being able to walk down to the private beach and watch the sunset while taking a late night swim in the ocean! We definitely will be back, can’t say enough good things about this place!!
