The Space:
Longford Tiny Houses by Tiny Away are laid in a 1-acre property located in the quiet town of Longford in Tasmania. It’s conveniently near local shopping centres with access to food outlets, petrol stations, medical clinics, etc. Besides the verdant, countryside scenery facing the tiny house, the stay is near local attractions such as Woolmers Estate, Village Green, Cataract Gorge, Penny Royal Adventures, and Tasmania Zoo.
What's more, the property is surrounded by farm animals like silky chickens, lambs, and miniature goats to keep you company.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with well-furnished guest rooms, wide public spaces, and comfortable seating areas. It has easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be advised that we have another tiny house named "Sunset Haven" on the property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and the surrounding area. Guests ccan enter from the left gate which takes them straight to the tiny house.
The tiny house is approximately 50 to 60 meters away from the main house.

Longford Tiny Houses by Tiny Away is located in the quiet town of Longford in Tasmania, a 20 minute drive from the city of Launceston and 30 minutes from the town of Deloraine. Longford is in close proximity to the natural beauty, boasting great parks and a river running right through the town.
It’s also near various hotspots in Tasmania, here are some of our recommendations for your trip to this area:
- Penny Royal Adventures is located right next to the Cataract Gorge. It provides a village experience for everyone from history-themed boat rides to ultimate cliff adventures such as cliff jump, zip lines, and cliff walk.
- Woolmers Estate is renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture and gardens. It is one of the most historically significant heritage properties in Australia where you can experience colonial life in its most genuine shape.
- Cataract Gorge is a 5 km stretch threaded by walking trails through natural grassland, woodland, dry forests, and wet gullies where wildlife roams.
- Village Green has a state-of-the-art electronic playground combining the joys of outdoor play with the immersion of gaming.
- Tasmania Zoo is a local family-owned business nestled in the foothills of the Tamar Valley. It features the largest collection of native and exotic wildlife in Tasmania.
Getting Around:
By car:
- Close to the Launceston airport with only 12 minutes drive and 19 minutes drive to Launceston CBD
- 2 hours and 15 minutes from Hobart city
- Reachable by both 2WD and 4WD
By public transport:
- No train access in this area, bus stop is 20 minutes walk from the property
Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is not available
- BBQ Grill is not available
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home; only in designated areas
- Pets are allowed by prior notice; pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Mobile reception is good for Telstra, Optus and Vodafone; Weak for 2degrees and Spark
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Keep in mind that outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
