The property is past prime, in need of repair and updates. Staff is apparently doing their best to make it work. The room smelled musty, yet linens and beds were clean and comfortable. The hot water surges to make showering a roller coaster ride of hot and cold. The tub leaked a great deal of water even with the fixture turned off. Breakfast is average, but without fresh fruit or pastries. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast sausage but the scrambled eggs were hot and good. The waffle maker made waffles in the shape of the state of Texas, which was a cute surprise.

This hotel has doors that open to the outside. However, the rooms themselves have been completely redone and they look fantastic. Very safe area and very clean.

The first disappointment was no elevator for 2nd floor. Then, opened the door and got a blast of strong musty odor. I immediately sprayed everything with rubbing alcohol. It helped ever so slightly. The pool had large patch spots on the bottom and what appeared to be a small branch at the bottom of the pool still there on day 2. The man working at the counter was very unfriendly and so was the woman the next day. Parking was good. Location was good and price was good. I would not stay there again.
