Fully furnished brick built holiday home with patio and stunning sea views just a 3 minute stroll from the beach or approximately 30 minutes along the South West Coastal Path from Looe.
No smoking, no pets and no chewing gum indoors please.
The apartment is double glazed and comprises of : a lovely, comfortable lounge / dining area with wall mounted FreeSat tv and new sofas; wifi; 2 double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a sturdy single bunk over a double bed (suitable for adults as well as kids !); a modern fully fitted kitchen; stylish toilet / bathroom with electric shower, and a patio with picnic bench. When opened up the lounge coffee table reveals a roulette wheel, dice and card tables (see photos) - hours of indoor, cheap family entertainment !
The apartment will be fully cleaned with bleach and other anti-bacterial cleaners between guest stays and is all yours for the duration of your stay. Clean, laundered bedding and towels (for use in the villa) are included and beds will be made up for your arrival. Please bring your own towels for use on the beach.
For those with children (and for the big kids !) there are crab lines, body board, two adult (sizes XL and L, full length) and two junior ("Age 14" shorties) wet suits as well as a BBQ in the shed, feel free to use them during your stay.
Everything runs on electricity and there will be at least £10 credit on the meter when you arrive, additional pre-paid cards can be bought on site as necessary but £15 is more than adequate for a week during the summer (unless you leave all of the lights and appliances on !). Please ensure the water heater is switched off, all perishable items removed and the bins are emptied on departure.
Parking is in the private car park in the valley approx 100 metres away after unloading at foot of the villa steps. All visitors to the resort (whether staying guests or not) are required to pay for car parking; for long staying / regular visiting guests there are weekly and monthly charges of £20 and £40 respectively (so £40 if staying between 1 and 4 weeks). There is a vehicle number recognition system in place, you have 30 minutes to unload (and load on departure) your car on the access road beneath the villa then you must park in the car park or the system will issue fines which you are responsible for.
There are 19 steps up to the property, please take this into account before booking.
Millendreath is a popular holiday village ideal as a base from which to strike out to the rest of Cornwall or to relax by the sea. Locally there is a popular licensed beach side bistro although I advise booking if you are thinking of eating there at night. Kayaks and SUPs (paddle boards) are available to hire on the beach. Nearby Looe is either a short car or taxi ride away or a 30 minute walk along the South West Coastal Path and offers everything you would expect from a Cornish fishing port - restaurants, bars, shops, boat trips, boat hire etc. In the opposite direction (East) Seaton is another coastal village with a lovely beach, cafe and restaurants.
Whilst your own private transport is recommended taxis are plentiful and there is a "tourist bus" during the summer high season that runs a circuitous route from the top of Mays Lane (the road into Millendreath) to Looe and Polperro and the main holiday camps on a regular basis.
