The staff are super sweet and helpful. The rooms and hotel are a bit run down and dirty. Stain on the Bedsheets. Pillows are due for replacement. Not clean overall. Food was just ok..breakfast fruits saved the day.

The staff members make this resort very enjoyable. I did hear a lot of complaining about the food from friends and family but you can usually find something that you like. The pools and amenities are excellent with the beach nearby and shopping options on the property.

First room had bed bugs. Moved to another room was much better. Be aware that the excursions include a “tour” and they take you to a pearl store. Not good for kids. Wish I would’ve know before.

Gabriel absolutely made our trip special! He was in constant contact with me before our arrival and was able to offer us a room upgrade at a reasonable price and it was a game changer. There was a special birthday plate with cake and balloons on door when we arrived for my friend's 50th birthday. Gabriel was available during our stay and was able and happy to help us with anything we needed. Exceptional customer service I will use Expedia for my travel bookings from now on!

Overall the resort is beautiful. However the waiters at the restaurants on site were not the nicest. The food was subpar with food sometimes being cold, not seasoned and just not edible at times. Due to the food being subpar we ate off the resort a couple of times. The staff was nice and pleasant and I received the best massage at the spa. A few buildings are next to a highway, which you can vaguely hear while in the room. But at soon as you open your door, you can see the road and noisy with the traffic.

The Krystal grand was not a 5 star. More like 2.5-3. Food was tragic including the food at restaurants. Lattes at the coffee bar was the only redeeming feature. Most food was dry, flavourless, and minimal options compared to other resorts we have stayed at. Staff was all friendly and very kind! The gym was small- free weights up to 50lbs, some cardio, no smith machine or other machines. Beach loungers were great! Lots of whales in January. Highlights of the trip were restaurants and activities OFF the resort. Overall would not stay again.

Gabriel and Jose were terrific for helping us with anything. And whenever we saw them, they would ask if we needed anything. Ricardo was an excellent waiter. The beach was wonderful and the sand was so nice to walk on. We didn’t like the traffic noise. Needs renovation for furnishings in rooms, lounges are old wood, etc. Also, there was little to no nightly entertainment.

We enjoyed walking around the property, but would like to have a board walk on the beach. There was a lot of noise outside of our room from the AC.unit. Small birds walking on the tables in the restaurant is very unsanitary, The staff were very friendly and made the stay enjoyable.
