It feels remote, but it is only two minutes from Kefalas with a couple of tavernas and a mini market and 20 minutes drive from Georgioupoli and Almyrida with more amenities. "Just back from a wonderful holiday in this beautiful villa. Our first visit to Crete and it did not disappoint. The villa is a 30 min drive from Chania airport. Directions to the property were easy as were the instructions to let ourselves in. The villa itself is amazing and the photos do not do it justice. "We enjoyed a marvellous week at this beautiful villa set amidst olive trees and with a spectacular view of the White mountains from the roof terrace. Well placed for trips to Chania, Rethymno, Aptera, the beach and local villages. The villa itself is beautifully designed and very well equipped. "The colleagues at this property and the sister hotel were amazing. Friendly and efficient. Great clean rooms. Autograph restaurant and buffet very good. Lovely walks along beach and easy to use public transport options. Good challenging walks from resort. End of season and all hotels and most bars starting to close."

"We had a really relaxing time at the Kalyves beach hotel. What wasn’t clear to us at booking was the “all inclusive” and “all inclusive welcome gift” option. We went for the latter which gave us the “all inclusive plus” package at the hotel and was well worth the small extra cost, giving us unlimited cocktails, room upgrade and discount on the spa. Excellent value for money and still easily got enough for us (27c) at the end of September. The buffet food selection was great for us too as we could pick and choose what we wanted. We loved the stay and the entertainment in the night arranged by Momo was excellent too. Everyone was so friendly and keen to help we felt so looked after and pampered! Fully recommended!"

"Perfect! The Hotel is well maintained, spotlessly clean with warm friendly service. All rooms overlook the beach and Almyrida bay. Bed and Breakfast, with breakfast served at Almyrida Beach hotel (200m walk). Great choice of food and beverage of a high quality and friendly service (staff brilliant with our kids). You also have access to all facilities at Almyrida studios, beach and residences during stay including pools and bars. Location is footsteps from the beach with crystal clear water and Sandy beach with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas (€15 a day for two). Temperature of water is warm so a good substitute for the pool (also good for young kids as not deep). Multiple places to eat and drink throughout day and night (lots of great restaurants for night and beach bars/cafes during day), with all facilities decorated to high standard and clean. Also a few supermarkets and shops to cater for all your needs. We rented a car (Centauro - was really good, organised, efficient and friendly service with free shuttle to and from airport). We went to a water park in limnoupolis which was very good (30 mins), explored Chania Town with its Venetian harbour, which was spectacular (25 Mins) and visited Rethymno (45 mins) which was again very nice with Venetian harbour. The rest of the time we relaxed on beach/by the pool. A great family holiday, we will be back"
