"Skyland exceeded my expectations. The staff made sure I was set up well, and they cared about the experiences I was having in the area. I even came back to one staff member to let them know I made it through Old Rag's rock scramble on a wet day just fine. The dining experience allows you to build camaraderie with other hikers that you see at meals during the week. My room was in Bushytop and was very quiet and peaceful, while still maintaining modern conveniences like soap, shampoo, numerous electrical outlets, etc. Skyland in within about 10 miles of many of Shenandoah's major hikes, which I took full advantage of. "

"The little blue cottage is so cute sitting alongside the big red brick house. We were in the area to participate in an event. We found this location to be perfectly situated near the event as well as to Shenandoah National Park. The host/hostess made us feel like they really enjoy having guests. We need to come back for the Caverns and fall leaves. "
