The freshly refurbished log cabin #9 at Hawksbill Retreats is perfect for a romantic escape for two. The cabin has a spacious living area with a stone fireplace, a brand-new log-style queen bed with a plush foam mattress, and a separate bathroom with a tile shower for two people. From the comfort of your Queen-sized log bed, you can take in the stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains thanks to the large glass French doors. Beautiful cabin and location
The property and cabin are delightful! We very much enjoyed our stay and the accommodations. Unfortunately the weather meant we couldn't really use the fire pit and the fire place wasn't a real one but did put out some warmth and was pretty. The hot tub had a wonderful view as did the porch. Overall, would recommend and return.

Great hidden gem!
Such a beautiful view! Cabin was very clean and homey. Enjoyed the double shower, hot tub, fire pit and outdoor grill. The keypad entry was easy to get used to. Only thing we didn’t know was the amount of steps in and out of the unit. Conveniently located to the attractions we wanted to see. Felt safe and secure. Only complaint is I reported a broken plate the first day we were there that I accidentally dropped. It wasn’t part of a set in fact it didn’t match any of the other ones and I was told the fee was more than double what can be bought on online Walmart can buy an 8 piece set for Oh well. Otherwise plan to return in the future.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The property was immaculate and well-appointed. Perfect space for two adults for a few days. The location is quite rural but was a great base for exploring Shenandoah National Park & Luray. Google Maps worked well for us around the region but be prepared for some spotty service. We didn't have any need to reach out to the hosts during our stay, but they were friendly and responsive while handling our rental agreement & welcome information.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hawksbill Retreat Cabin! The location was great- just enough privacy, the most beautiful panoramic view of the mountains, and close to Skyline Drive and other attractions in the area. The cabin itself was clean, nicely decorated, and had the right amount of space for two people. The hot tub was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! I loved how it had a fence around for privacy that was low enough to still be able to see the view of the landscape! We loved everything about this cabin and would most definitely plan to visit again in the future. Thank you to the property owners for making our stay one to remember.

Perfect Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawksbill Retreat. The cabin was cozy and stocked with essential items. The location of Cabin #9 was secluded and offered the right amount of privacy to enjoy our 18yr Anniversary weekend. We cooked every one of our meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the beautiful mountain views as we ate outside under the covered deck. We even found a sweet treat at a local Hershey Icecream Shop near by, one of our favorite icecream brands. The Caverns nearby was a great way to spend some time. Plenty of parks to walk through as well. We decided by the end of our trip that we would definitely return for another stay! Thank you
