Peaceful Retreat
Nice quiet setting with a beautiful view. Kitchen was well stocked. Two levels with spiral staircase which was a bit of a challenge for my wife who suffered an ankle injury shortly before our stay.

Unique place, beautiful views, loved it all!
We booked the Round House for our summer vacation this July and were thrilled with everything about it. The wraparound deck and full windows showing off the most gorgeous views truly took our breath away. It was a wonderful place to kick back and relax, and a great starting point for many of the adventures we embarked upon. It was very easy to get into Shenandoah National Park - just a short drive away, as were the Luray Caverns. We also drove down to Monticello one day, which was an easy trip. It was lovely to have this space to come home to at the end of the day. We enjoyed hanging out on the comfy furniture and the kids took delight in the games available to play...and thought it was cool to play albums on the record player. But this mom's favorite thing about our stay was being able to enjoy my morning coffee sitting on a rocking chair on the deck, looking up at the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. It's not often you get to stay in a round house...I'd highly recommend it!

Unique and lively home
The roundhouse had a lovely view and outdoor seating/deck from the top floor! The house was very clean, had updated appliances and plenty of room to spread out. It was located within a half hour or so to a central entrance to Shenandoah National Park and downtown Luray/Luray Caverns. We were able to cook meals and enjoy the view and the quiet evenings to relax and unwind. We enjoyed our week!

Relax and enjoy
The round house is a unique property tucked away in the country. The air-conditioning kept the top floor cool during 95° July days. The kitchen has lots of appliances and tools, and we made steaks on the grill. There are plenty of games and books available as well as TV and WFi. The bottom floor stays warmer without air-conditioning but it was okay. I think the beds should get inexpensive, memory foam toppers to make them softer and more comfortable. There are plenty of outdoor cushions and nice rocking chairs on the deck. The area: It has a great location because fishing, public pool, Luray Caverns and Skyline drive are all close. Walmart is only 20 minutes away but the property feels secluded. The town of Luray had 4th of July fireworks that were very enjoyable. I wish the area wasn't in drought conditions because the creek and Shenandoah river were very low. Most of the creek was non existent. However, the public pool in Stanley is less than 10 minutes away and $6 pp. It was perfect after our hikes in the early afternoon. We took a sunset hike to Little Stoney Man and my 17 year old son said it was the most beautiful sight he's ever seen. He also loved the uniqueness of the house and wanted me to book it for next year now. :)

Quiet and Cozy
Our teen enjoyed the coziness and the husband enjoyed the quiet the most. We were able to enjoy a long weekend away from the DC area, the views and porch were lovely and the house was perfect for a chill weekend away. It rained one day and we enjoyed listening to records, playing games and putting together a puzzle.

Super relaxing house
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the round house. Close to the national park for hiking and also to the town of Luray (for food shopping and restaurants) as well as the caverns. On the day when it rained we relaxed in the living room with all the windows and was very comfy. Would stay there again!

Beautiful views
House is nice. Has all the things you’d want. There was some cleaning that could have been done. Lots of dead bugs inside and carpets weren’t very clean. Outside could use some cobweb clean up and decluttering. The view is spectacular. And worth whatever else we had to deal with.

Nice house, few blinds
Great location for going to Shenandoah National Park, loved the deck & views in the morning and evening. Upstairs living area also had great views. Had everything we needed. Only issue we had was no blinds/window coverings in bathrooms and downstairs bedrooms but we made do.

Reconnect with Nature in a fun, intriguing house
The Round House is intriguing in itself - so many unusual details because of its shape! We absolutely loved the wrap-around deck!! Mornings with coffee and binoculars for bird watching were our norm. And it was firefly season - so we enjoyed watching them dance every evening in the dark. Shenandoah National Park is easy to get to from here - very helpful for day hikes! Overall, we enjoyed a relaxing time in the Virginia mountains! Thank you!!!

Amazing cabin stay
The round house is the perfect cabin getaway. The space was clean and comfortable. The view of the mountains is amazing both from the living room upstairs and the porch. The kitchen is well equipped and the gas grill is a great bonus. There are plenty of puzzles and games for friends and family to share. Though we only used one bedroom, they all seemed comfortable and clean. The tub in the primary bathroom was huge and my wife enjoyed relaxing in it with a glass of wine. Hope to come back in the future!

could use some updates
The location is great, the concept of the home and the deck are great, it was just a bit more run down than we expected. Some windows didn't work, burners on the stove were temperamental, and those downstairs did have to deal with bugs in the shower daily.

Beautiful views, great location
The home had gorgeous views of the mountain. It was very comfortable - the bedrooms and common areas were well suited to a family. It was 10 minutes from the quaint little town of Luray, which had a few shops, good restaurants and access to the Luray caverns (a phenomenal way to spend our rainy last day). Also very close to the entrance to the national park. We would absolutely stay here again!
