Restored 1840's Downtown Loft Near Blue Ridge Parkway

Experience a taste of 19th Century urban life with all the conveniences of today. On the second floor of the Centertown Bedford building known as Lawyers Row, The loft offers an ingenious and tasteful 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment with complete kitchen. It includes one large bedroom with queen sized antique rope bed and one sleeping loft single bed accessed by a beautiful handmade heart-pine staircase/ladder. Decor offers plaster and exposed brick accents, authentic milk paint wall coatings, and original heart-pine floors. Together with a comfortable sofa, the Loft can accommodate up to three business travelers or a family of five. The kitchen is fully equipped, and includes soapstone countertops and an inviting simulated-coal fireplace. A washer and dryer are on site, and all towels and linens are furnished. We're pet and kid friendly but please, no smoking.

Fun little loft
This was my kids favorite place to stay on our trip. It’s small, but there was space for everybody. The decor was eclectic and fun, and the location was great for a day in Bedford with great coffee shop just a couple doors down. Would definitely recommend.

This is a little gem in the heart of sleepy Bedford, Virginia. The loft is a glimpse back into history, beautifully restored with quaint period decorations. It was very hot outside but the loft provided a cool respite after a walk through this sweet, historic town. As Jon says in his description it is small but c comfy. We will stay again if we return to Bedford.

We had an awesome time in this little quaint loft. Everything was perfect and I highly recommend the place for anyone staying in or near Bedford. We were in town for our daughter's graduation from Liberty University. It was about a 20-25 minute drive to campus but very accessible. The host was fantastic and the place was perfect for a short stay for anyone with a group of 4 or less.

AWESOME STAY!
I reserved for my parents for a short stay. They loved it! They enjoyed it was downtown and they could walk to restuarants and shops. The rental was super clean and cozy. Mother and Daddy both enjoyed the decor and my Daddy thought the stairs to the loft were amazing. The host was so kind and also responded very quickly. My parents would very much like encourage the rental of this property.

A wonderful cozy place to stay!
Very charming loft with fully equipped kitchen. Very homey feel. The little sofa was comfortable and the washer/dryer with detergent was a nice bonus. There wasn't really a functioning dining table though since the leaf didn't stay up, but it was just me so it didn't bother me. The bathroom sink should probably be replaced but maybe some people like the "old world" feel. Happy with my stay and hope to stay again next time I'm in town.

Rustic, Primitive, Comfy and all the modern convenience of home!
I stayed here two nights and absolutely LOVED it! Everything was so clean and comfortable and handy. It's close to everything - Roanoke, Lynchburg, Smith Mountain Lake, etc. Visit the World War II Memorial and The Lost Boys Memorial while you stay here! Plenty of restaurants in the area too! The owner and his Dad were very pleasant and answered any and all questions I had. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.
