Clean room. A bit small. Not easy to seat two people. We had to swap rooms as the hob blew the fuse as they are old which was fine and staff were very helpful. No extractor fan in kitchenette. Good shower. Luggage storage available at reception. Recycling bins in reception would be helpful.

We liked the option of having our own kitchen for part of our Europe trip. Although there was limited equipment it was nice to have that as an option. Staff was kind and service was great.

Advantages of an apartment with hotel reception

It's not really a "hotel." But in the end, it was better in many ways. Bigger, nicer, newer TV. Kitchenette. Comfortable room and shower. For the price, it was a great value.

Decent but felt uncomfortable with the cleaners

Decent accommodation but we felt uncomfortable with the cleaners entering our room. The room was good, it was nice to have the kitchenette. The microwave didn't work but we could use the cooker instead. The staff were helpful and friendly. It wasn't the most amazing room but good for the price and I would probably stay again. It was a bit disappointing that there were no hairdryers available even though it says they are included on the booking. Also we got woken by a cleaner opening our room door (even though it was dead bolted) at 7:50am. He didn't knock and as two young people we felt extremely intimidated and frightened by the experience. We were not made aware of any cleaners visiting the room - especially as we were checking out by 11am we didn't expect to see anyone. We had no time to mention it to the staff but it made us feel uncomfortable and on edge.

Amazing Staff

I booked 2 nights only. It was a good price per quality. The whole staff at the reception was super nice responsive and always ready to help. The only reason why I don't give a full 5 star it's because in my floor someone had 2 small dogs and they were very noisy no matter if it was day or night. The second day in front of that door there was a huge stain in the carpet, not nice nor very hygienic. Other than that everything was fine.

Very basic indeed

It is cheap and very basic quality. The good: staff were very friendly and helpful, bed comfortable. The bad: pretty much everything else. Lots of damaged elements in the room, cupboard doors not fitting, enamel chipped in bath, cigarette buts left on balcony, sofa stained and uncomfortable, rusty and dirty towel rail, scuff marks on walls. Lighting very dull and impossible to do make-up in bathroom. Not suitable for a business trip and won’t stay there again when I’m in Lyon for work. If you are on a budget I’m sure you can find better than this.

We stayed 2 weeks. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Seems quite old but is kept very clean and tidy. Good location. To improve: Sofa bed is not comfortable. Hotel is very noisy at night - not from people, but from banging pipes and such.

Good rest, as for the silence and the bed. Not far from some interesting places, walking distance. Some supermarkets nearby. Only French channels on TV, but we could share on line films on the smart tv. The final conclusion is that it was very convenient and practical.

For a 2 star hotel you cannot expect much really. The room was very loud and for a business stay it was annoying because you can't sleep if zour neighbors decided to watch TV. Staff was variable, some were really friendly but others very unprofessional and rude. The kitchen and the water boiler were not very clean.

Very Bare.

Very bare room. Very clean but poorly provided. No plug in basin. Pillow very cheap. Some plugs did not look safe. No kettle in kitchen. Boiling water in saucepan impossible at times. Rings very old. Staff friendly and helpful. Good area for residents. Cafe, and very nice bar over the road!

Bare necessity

The accommodation is at the top floor and becomes too hot, since the external blind / shutter to the window is broken or not installed. With only one window, it is hard to keep cool. Better ventilation and blind/ shutter installation is required for improvement. The room lighting is too dim that it's uncomfortable to read a book at night. Better lighting is required.
