What an amazingly lovely place to enjoy the mountains. After a number of years empty, the new owners are making this that place to come to enjoy the Colorado mountains. Our cabin was perched over the river that runs through the ranch property, with a walking path and great birding opportunities. I saw a fledgling American dipper! With a fire pit and plenty of wood provided, we were able to have campfires with ease. A hike up to the chapel gave a view of the surrounding peaks. The cabin is remote so plan ahead with food and other necessities. Our cabin had a kitchenette with a 2 burner hot plate and a small microwave with a propane grill outside, but there are other cabins on the property with a full kitchen, so look at the options to book the best cabin for you. The property is in the middle of substantial upgrades, so all the amenities are not up to date yet. Be prepared for a wilderness experience and come ready to enjoy the outdoors. It does not get more beautiful than this.
