Coconut Cottage is perfectly nestled in a quiet peaceful hamlet within easy walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants and a long driveway with enough space for 2 cars. So you can literally park up outside the door!
The cottage has a large garden and is designed in a bungalow style, so the 2 bedrooms & bathroom are all at ground floor level. The windows in the roof space shown in the main photo are purely for cosmetic design.

As a Pet owner, You can completely relax & have peace of mind knowing that your best friend/s can enjoy exploring the large garden safely and enjoy watching them happily play in the garden from the conservatory while you relax with that morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

Very clean Everything you could need supplied. Dog friendly garden Plenty of space Covenient to beach Would have been 5 but feel that decor is tired. Should consider chaning nets to blinds as weather was hot and cottage very warm

Fab weekend
The weather was lovely always helps, the cottage was in a great position for the dogs with the Sandilands walk to sea meaning we were only 10 mins away from the sea front. The cottage had everything needed, the conservatory was the best!

Break by the sea, Daisy and me!
The 'cottage' was perfect. The rules with regard to the expected behaviour of dogs was totally appropriate, and exactly mirrors my rules at home, so that was easy for both of us. The location also was just like being at home, but beside the sea. I would just suggest that the old pond/paddling pool area needs a tidy up, otherwise the garden was lovely, not overloooked, and safe for Daisy. Thank you, we shall be coming again! Sue.

We enjoyed our stay in the bungalow very much. There was a few problems, which we highlighted in a letter we left at the property. 1} the dining table was unsafe as the legs were unstable. 2} The bedroom doors did not shut fully. 3} Although we found a short cut to the beach the information says the bungalow is next to the beach.4} The fan extractor although the light came on the fan did not work. Despite the few problems we found we enjoyed our stay in the bungalow and will stay in the bungalow again when we next visit Sutton on Sea.

As you know my wife was ill ‐ and is still attending hospital daily- and she found the garden room very restful It was a shame we had to cut short our stay because the cottage was ideal for us - and our dog - to have a break

Carl was really helpful due to us changing our booking to the other property he rents out in Mablethorpe, the house was well equipped, garden enclosed great for GSD, close to fantastic beach with lovely large beach cafe, thoroughly relaxing stay before the madness of Christmas, will definitely be back again.

Perfect location and house for dog owners
The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed - internet worked fine and the TV did everything we needed it to. The area is perfect in winter for walks on the beach and so many places are dog friendly. The bungalow has a cosy lounge for evenings in and kitchen well equipped if you want to. Would definitely recommend it for dog owners.

Overall the place was lovely, close to the beach and very quiet area, however unfortunately the sofas and chair smelt really bad of dog urine, obviously understand pets are allowed but the smell was very over powering However if this wasn't the case it would be spot on, would recommend 👌

A lovely little property.
A very clean property, with everything a family of 4 might need for a stay near the sea. Quiet neighbourhood. A problem with a drain was fixed very quickly; the owner and the housekeeper both contacted us to explain what was happening.

Owner & property fantastic, clean close to the beach, close to a park for the kids. HomeAway not so good, no check information, no code to the key lock to get into the property on arrival. (had to phone a very helpful owner to get in !) HomeAway booking fee way too high !!!!!!

Lovely bungalow near to the beach
We stayed for 10 days in June - we booked having read all the information and reviews so were aware of the arrangement with electricity. We did have an issue with the electricity prepayment key not working but once the owner realised it was sorted along with the help of the housekeeper by the next morning and didn't impact our stay. The bungalow is on a lovely quiet estate and in a perfect location - less than five minutes walk to the dog friendly part of the beach, which is stunning and only about ten minutes walk to the shops. The garden was perfect for us - totally secure for our dogs (high walls and fences all round) and really peaceful. We enjoyed Sutton on Sea and sitting out at the dog friendly Beach Bar - all in all a nice quiet seaside village with pretty much everything you need. Bathroom of the bungalow could do with a refresh, certainly wouldn't stop us booking again, but makes it 4 rather than 5 star review.

Lovely little bungalow with nice conservatory and secluded garden. Could be a little cold with the tiled floors. Enjoyed feeding the fish in the beautiful pond, the water Lillie’s were starting to come out. Handy for visiting coastal resorts. Was a bit concerned about pets being allowed and chance of pet hair and smells but you could not tell if any pets had been there as was so well cleaned and ready for us to go in. Only downside was paying for gas and electricity, although I agree with it, would be nice to see it in the description on HomeAway site.

Disappointing
I was very disappointed with our stay at Sunshine Cottage. My children and I arrived after a 5 hour journey to discover that there was no credit and therefore had no gas or electricity. I'm shocked that any property on this website does not have flowing gas and electricity as standard. To have to go and find a shop with 2 children and 2 dogs after a 5 hour drive was not acceptable. My children slept in the second bedroom. The blind was broken. I emailed the owner but I didn't get a response. I manually managed to get the blind down, rolling it by hand and it stayed down for 2 days. This was a pointless exercise as the blind was 'sheer' and therefore the light came through. This meant my children couldn't sleep at night because the moon/street lights kept them awake. They would then wake at 5am when the sun came up. This meant my children barely slept at Sunshine Cottage. The kitchen has no heating so it was freezing cold, particularly at night. There was a fault with the power on day 3. I assumed I'd run out of 'credit' so again packed up the children and dogs (you aren't allowed to leave dogs in the house alone) and headed down to the shop once again. This was hard work and quite honestly a nightmare. When I got back, I put the credit in and the power still didn't come on. I had to ring the house keeper and get her assistance. At this stage, after no sleep and power, I decided it was best to leave a night early. My children were tired and ratty and weren't enjoying their stay. I requested a refund for the night we missed but this was refused. The property needs some tlc. It's not up to standard, particularly for these prices!! Bear in mind when you book and pay, that this doesn't include your gas and electricity. This soon adds up!!! The property is a good location and that's why I gave it 2 stars.

Lovely cottage on a quiet residential street and within easy walking distance to the beach
There was a mix up with the changeover dates so the property was not ready when we arrived, but it was soon rectified and was clean and tidy by the time we returned from beach. The bungalow is in a perfect location and ideal for me, my husband and the dog. The garden is secure and private with good neighbours. Sutton has a good, but limited selection of shops, we had no trouble finding what we needed. The people are really friendly and the beach is brilliant with good safe walks along the promenade. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunshine cottage, (the only slight negative is the bathroom needs refurbishing but is fully functional). We were less keen on the surrounding area (Mablethorpe and Skegness) but that's a personal choice.

Beutiful well kept cottage
We had a lovely week cottage is lovely one or two tweeks needed but on the whole brill holiday lovely garden & very quiet would def book again if we needed to go again we were mainly visiting friends we made over the 20 yrs we partly lived there my only real bug is having to go to the shop to top up the meter would prefer it in with the price of the cottage but that's my gripe but brill but need a car
