The gallery’s permanent collection of 4,000 pieces represents over half a century of collecting. The gallery's Learning Centre provides plenty of activities to help unleash the inner artist. Join an artist-led workshop, attend a lecture in art appreciation or enjoy an art house film. Let the kids loose in one of the hands-on art programmes held each summer. After artists teach them the basics, lunch breaks are taken in the leafy surroundings of neighboring Wascana Centre and parents are welcome to come along.

Admission to the MacKenzie Art Gallery is free and it is open daily, year-round. The library is accessible by appointment only. Classes should be booked in advance. The gallery is situated in the T.C. Douglas Building, in the southwest corner of Wascana Centre.
