"Nice hotel. 8/10 for us. Breakfast could have been warmer, and paper plates was new for a hotel for breakfast. Not worth a complaint. Staff is kind and accommodating. Bathroom could have been a touch cleaner with the shower head on the sprayer being very dirty to even look at, but the rest of the bathroom was clean and tidy. Would stay again to be able to walk to Fattey’s."

Idyllic Rochester Apartment: 2 Miles to Downtown!

"The property is a cute little house and the actual place you stay is the upstairs apartment. There were tons of fireflies in the front yard which was fun for our kids. People live in the house below. We didn’t receive an email or text beforehand with instructions for the property and had to text the owner to ask for the code to get in. We emailed her a couple of weeks before to verify that she was aware of how many people we had with no response. She did text us the morning of our arrival to verify our numbers. We had a large party of 14 (the listing says it sleeps 14) and while the owner was accommodating and made sure we had enough beds, it was way too small to hold that many. In order to sleep us all we had to have several mattresses on the floor. If you are wanting only beds off the floor it could sleep 9. The listing cites a business center with an outdoor pool which we didn’t see. If it was off site it was never communicated to us where it was or how to use it. It also cites a fireplace in the living space which isn’t true unless it was very well hidden but staying there in the summer we didn’t need it anyway. TVs were setup with a lot of entertainment but the arcade/game room is a small room with a few toys and an electronic basketball game that doesn’t work with both hoops broken off. While we didn’t see any, there was a strong smell of cats. Overall the property met our needs but the listing wasn’t completely forthright and was not what we were expecting. "

Comfortable Stay

"I have no complaints about this property it was very comfortable. My kids and I just basically needed a place to sleep. We were in Rochester for a funeral so most of our days was spent with family. The property is located in a quiet, well maintained area, there are numerous places close by for food and other necessities. Christopher has everything you need in the home for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay there again."

House covered in mouse poop

"Saw 2 mice within 10 minutes of being in the property. It was after check-in when we arrived but the host was still there cleaning the place. The smell of old seafood and urine was so overwhelming we had to open every window immediately. Even though the host says he spent the day cleaning, there was mouse poop on every surface, cockroaches in the cabinets, and baby cribs full of trash. There were two or three vacuums overflowing with tiny mouse poops. The doors on the building didnt lock properly. We contacted both the host and vrbo immediately, but no one was able to help. There'a definitely hot tub or washer/dryer as advertised - but who's gonna sit in a hot tub covered in mice feces anyway? Would have been delighted if false advertising had been the worst thibf about this place. I sent Vrbo picutres of the amount of mouse poop on the surfaces in this place - one picture alone had 300 excrements in it - and the Expedia Health and Safety team said it did not qualify as a problem."
