"I think staying someplace new is always a gamble, but this one was a winner! My husband and I immediately noticed how pristine the room was. Rachel, the owner of the motor lodge, bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed and provided suggestions on places to go and directions to get there. "The main lodge is very unique with interesting décor at every turn. The bed was clean and comfy. Staff could not have been more cordial. Pastries and fruit with great coffee and conversation started our day off right! The only issue I had was on the Expedia site it shows tv, coffee, and microwave in the room. They are not, but we did nicely without them."

"We visited for my daughter’s graduation from The University of Maine. This was so much prettier than staying in a hotel in Bangor. Toddy “Pond” is so big and beautiful. Maine names ponds that are really the size of lakes.Toddy Pond is clean and serene. If you want to visit Acadia, this is the perfect place to stay away from the insanity of traffic in the Bar Harbor region. But, I would not book again through this listing again. Host did not pay entire rate.
