"Hemingways Watamu was just what we were looking for in terms of somewhere to relax and rest after an injury and work. Watamu itself is a bit less interesting in the off season (I.e. most restaurants are closed, as are many of the gear shops), but it’s still lovely if not a tad bit windy. Staff were amazing! Highly recommend."

"We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Kobe Suites. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It is a well-designed hotel on the best stretch of beach in Watamu which is also part of the nature reserve. When we dined in, the food and drink was excellent and moderately priced. "

"Visited off season the hotel was very quiet and the main pool was closed for refurbishment. If I had known I would have cancelled my booking. The check in staff focused on my wife giving her all the info and the bill, which I thought was odd but not a deal breaker. The hotel room was good size with ample space, 2 glass bottles of water per day was provided. The aircon in the room was faulty but it was repaired to working but we did feel the difference. We were staying on room only booking but...
