"The facilities are amazing - the pools are immaculate and gorgeous scenery in general. Staff are great. The only downside was the very limited menu (and quite high prices for the portion/quality) at Lion in the Sun. On top of that, all vegetarian options were not available one day, with no alternative offered - which was a little disappointing, especially as nearby places (Art and Nature - highly recommend!) were able to modify dishes and cater for dietary requirements on request."

"First of all it is clear that this hotel is far from 5 stars. While the rooms (in fact cottages) are not bad (4/5 for me) and the hotel staff is very friendly (5/5 for me) the breakfast choice was dissatisfying (3/5 for me). The offer of fruit juices was limited to 2, while one always was watermelon and the other changed between mango and pineapple. The overall selection (fresh eggs, other English breakfast items) was o.k., but the offered variety was far from other 5 Star hotels I ever visited....

"The private pool is not something I have come across before and it turned out to be a pretty special feature. The only minor letdown was the room itself. It was very dark almost dungeon like and why they put a bed that you need a ladder to get into is just beyond me. I even feel its unsafe especially for older patrons and children. Overall I would rate it at 7.5 out of 10."

"The staff were absolutely delightful and brilliant. Corazone Ndeya, Brian Angila and Hakim Mukungu were so warm, friendly, patient and informative. The food served was also fantastic with the chef's preparation of prawns, fish and chicken were absolutely delicious. I look forward to coming back next year. "

"This is a great place to relax, but there is not a lot to do at the hotel or within walking distance. The plunge pools with villa are fantastic! Due to the tides in the area, you can only swim in the ocean at high tide, and the water has a lot of seaweed. The restaurant is amazing, we really enjoyed all of our meals and the staff were always friendly and helpful."

"We had a good stay at Lion in the sun. People there are super friendly and really doing their best for you to have a good stay. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and so are the chairs.
