Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. The hotel is super close to the main lodge and has a great hot tub. The amenities there are pretty lack luster there is not even a microwave in the room. It's away from the rest of the town so not much to do at night or food options. Hitting the slopes are super easy. If you go during the off season it can be super affordable. Food in the restaurant is expensive though.

The rooms need a renovation and the ceiling in the hallway and some rooms are a little low for taller people. Everything else is great though. The location is excellent, right by the Mammoth gondola.
