The lodge was absolutely gorgeous and was exquisitely appointed with beautiful landscaped grounds overlooking Lake Taupo. Our hosts, Gary and Shirley, paid great personal attention to every detail, from showing us all the the features of our room, to ensuring all of our dinner reservations were arranged properly. The afternoon hor d'oeuvres and wine and morning breakfasts were also delicious.

Loved the place. Very nice and welcoming owners, well stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, big rooms, great location right across from the lake. Little extra touches including beach towels, a night light and shortbread cookies.
