The local night markets are not too be missed. During the heat wave the pool was essential and any issues with it were quickly resolved. There are low beams throughout the property with thoughtfully hung pom-poms to bring your attention to them....

"We were given a lovely welcome by Maria and Santiago, and a nice basket of local food and drink. The grounds of the house are beautiful and spacious with plenty of activities and lots of equipment. The pool was super. The house is very well equipped with all you need. Our week coincided with a serious heatwave and it was impossible to keep the bedrooms cool despite the fans. There is no Wi-Fi at the property but 4G was ok.We were a little more remote than we expected but we had a great relaxing...

"We had a lovely week staying in this lovely house with its gorgeous and large grounds just outside Bergerac. We had our dog with us and this was the perfect location, without leaving the property there are extensive interesting and beautiful walks along the river and mill race. The house is lovely, full of character and very interesting being the old mill itself. The owners were extremely and very friendly and this added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. "Well done to Marion and her team. They have booked us Taxis, made us Pizzas, provided local information for buses, shops and restaurants, supplied extra towels and a hairdryer. The continental style breakfast is good value in price, and the facility is clean and well managed. Everyone has spoken English, been polite, friendly and professional. This may be called a Hotel Ibis “Budget”, but it has high standards and all the staff work hard. Room 307 is at end of the corridor. It is a good size with separate shower (fabulous) and toilet."

"The house was idealy situated for visiting many places of interest,Bordeaux,Bergerac and many chateau in the area. We were very disapointed with the standard of the property due to several issues.The house is very cold and damp and in some rooms has effected the wooden flooring,leaving a white deposit.Even in the kitchen, which has tiled flooring,surface water could be seen under our dogs bedding.The on-suite shower room wasn't very clean and had black mould around the shower tray and sink,which we had to clean ouselves.Although we had the use of an above ground swimming pool in the garden,it quickly became unusable as the grass,which was mostly weeds,became too long and unpleasant to wade through to get to the pool. Although I expect not everything to be perfect with an older property,I do feel the owners could pay more attention to these basic details.We were there for a month so these these things had considerable impact on our stay.We felt the owners put very little into running there gite and do the bare minimum."

Perfect hotel for Board game enthusiasts!

"Lovely hotel, Great location less than 2miles from Bergerac Airport. Gentleman on reception Welcoming, Friendly and happy to help us with anything we needed (spoke perfect English also). We had two Superior Themed Rooms which were beautifully decorated. We did have an issue with one of the rooms previous guest smoking in. Gentleman on reception sorted it out straight away, offering us two other rooms to choose from and was more than apologetic and helpful. Board Game themed rooms which were really well decorated. Restaurant conveniently located right next to the Hotel, which was also beautifully decorated, food lovely and staff friendly. Will 100% stay again if we are ever back in the area."
