Best Mandalay Historic Hotels

Royal Yadanarbon Hotel
3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (101)
"Positive: Staff is very friendly, pro-active and helpful, even for Myanmar standards. Breakfast is pretty good with the usual rice, noodles, fried vegetables, soup, rubber bread, eggs, bananas. Rooms have mosquito meshing. Negative: The rooms are awful. They are dated and in desperate need for a make-over (when did they last paint?!), especially the bath rooms. Cleaning is very superficial. I was careful what to touch and pretty engrossed. Rooms are so small, I can't see how 2 people would fit...

Hotel Amazing Mandalay

79 Living Hotel
3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (125)
"Overall I don’t know that I recommend this hotel. First, the good: the entire staff was super friendly and accommodating, it was easy and reasonably priced to book a private taxi through the hotel for day trips, and the breakfast buffet was really good. The bad: it was next to impossible to get any sleep during our three night stay. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything next to and above you. It’s also located on a busy street and next to train tracks (with constant honking by both...

Hotel Yadanar Oo

"Staffs are nice and helpful. Check in process was a bit strange because they did not have a record of my reservation first until they checked email (probably of Expedia). I experienced Power outage every hour, which needed a staff coming to reboot the fuse box. Not much hot water in shower."
