Stunningly situated on a sand dune overlooking the gorgeous waters of Lake Michigan, this beautifully renovated beach cottage is a place to escape, unplug, and unwind. Bask in the peace and privacy afforded by five acres of land, as well as 200 feet of private beachfront just down the staircase.

This lakefront home sits at the end of a quarter-mile-long driveway, in between the beloved beach towns of Manistee (five miles) and Onekama (eight miles). It's a location that gives you wonderful access to shopping, dining, boat rentals, annual festivals, the Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club (16 miles), and the summer and winter activities of Crystal Mountain Resort (27 miles). Other great attractions you can find nearby include Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Portage Lake, Cross Country Ski Trails, and hiking trails.

Make the most of the summer months in the home's fantastic outdoor spaces, including a large deck where you can relish in the breezes wafting off of the lake. Bring the two provided kayaks down to the water each morning and spend your days swimming from your private beach.

The cottage itself dates back to 1964, but it has been thoughtfully and entirely renovated in 2023. It's an open, upscale retreat full of high-end touches, from the beautiful finishes of wood, stone, and stainless steel to radiant floor heating for the snowy winter months. Enjoy a living room where you can stream movies by the electric fireplace, a dining space that opens to the deck, and a kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances (including a Thor range, a Moccamaster coffee maker, frother, and Nutri bullet blender plus toaster). In the evenings, leave your swimsuits in the laundry room, open up the windows, and circulate the cool lake breezes using fans in each bedroom.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa's good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
