Beautiful and welcoming

We had a wonderful stay at this gîte, it had everything we needed. The property is beautiful, the private garden was great for eating and lounging outdoors (and playing pétanques), and the owners were lovely and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the quality bedding and linens, and the cleanliness of our cottage. It is a short drive to Honfleur and other busier spots but you really feel at peace in the countryside. Un super séjour - merci beaucoup !

Lovely week in the French countryside

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to others. The Gite was lovely and had everything we needed. The owners were most welcoming and were always on hand should you need them. The nearby town of Beuzville was only 4 minutes away and had all you would need. With Honfleur, Deauville and many other lovely towns nearby the location was perfect. We had a great stay and would love to return sometime. Robert & Paula

A really peaceful and charming cottage amongst beautiful grounds. The perfect place for a break!

We had a lovely week’s stay here. Denis and Isabelle could not have been more friendly or hospitable. The cottage was clean and attractive, with just the right space and facilities for our family of 4. The grounds were great - spacious, pretty and well kept. Our garden was perfect for relaxing on sunny days and enjoying BBQs. We loved the pool and used it as much as we could. The cottage felt quiet and tucked away and yet we were so close to some great days out in Honfleur, Deauville, Caen and beyond. We return home feeling happy and rested! We would thoroughly recommend this place for a visit and hope to return one day. Thank you!

Normandy Dream

Our family spent 5 nights in this lovely cottage. When we arrived we were blown away by the beauty of the grounds. There was lush green grass everywhere and beautiful flowers providing pops of color. The house was impeccable inside and out. We loved being in a typical Norman cottage while having all the modern amenities inside. The owners, Denis and Isabelle, have thought of everything guests might need - cooking oil, spices, dish soap, dishwashing tablets, ironing board, even books for the little ones. We were greeted with a bottle of local cider, fresh flowers and chocolate eggs for our children. So thoughtful! The kitchen is set up perfectly for cooking meals at home and there is a large, beautiful dining room table to share said meals. We typically went out all day and cooked at home in the evening. Our absolute favorite time of the day was sunset hour. We'd sit out front for a while with some cider, let our kids play in the yard and then run upstairs to catch the last views of the glowing orange sun sinking into the horizon. This home is a perfect base for visiting the sites of Normandy. While here we visited Honfleur, Caen, Deauville, Trouville, Étretat and an old slate quarry called Souterroscope des Ardoisières in Caumont l'Éventé. We also had a wonderful lunch in the town of Pont-l'Évêque, which has amazing cheese by the way. Big grocery stores and a variety restaurants are just a few minutes away in Beuzeville. We did not dine there, but did all of our shopping there with ease. What else can I say? If you are traveling with children, they will love this place. Our kids said they wanted to live here! There is a swimming pool, ping pong table, bikes, a tree swing and plenty of animals (horses, donkeys and sheep) to entertain them. Thank you, Denis and Isabelle, for an unforgettable stay. We hope to be back again soon!

Tolles Ferienhaus aud dem Land

Sehr geschmackvoll und vollständig ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in ländlicher ruhiger Umgebung. Alle Geschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs sowie Restaurants in 5 Aurominuten erreichbar (Beuzeville). Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter.

Ferienhaus mit wunderschönem Garten

Wir haben im August 2022 eine wunderbare Woche in dem Ferienhäuschen verbracht. Es ist sehr nett eingerichtet und hat einen großen Garten. Die Lage ist toll, um von dort aus Ausflüge in die Gegend zu unternehmen. Denis und Isabelle sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Fabulous property in superb location

A beautiful authentic property in a great location. Set in countryside and yet close to lovely towns and the coast. We booked both properties for a family holiday. The hosts are friendly, communicated well throughout and responded promptly to our enquiries.

Ein wundervoller Fleckchen Erde

Gerade zurück, würden wir am liebsten sofort wieder hin. Es war wirklich alles wunderbar. Unser kleines Häuschen hatte einen eigenen kleinen,, umzänten und sichtgeschützten Garten, mit Liegestühlen uns Sonnenschirmen, eigenem Parkplatz direkt neben dem Haus und - natürlich - zwei Eseln als Nachbarn, die einen jeden Tag direkt am Zaun freudig begrüßten. Durch ein Holztor ging es dann auf das große Gelände zum Herrenhaus mit dem beheizten Pool. Alles war sehr gepflegt, liebevoll gestaltet und gemütlich. Die Vermieter sehr freundlich. Die Ausstattung mehr als wir gewohnt waren. Mit Seife, Spülmittel, Küchentüchern, usw. Einzig gewünscht hätten wir uns ein paar Fliegengitter an Türen und Fenstern, da durch die viele Natur doch einige Fliegen, Wespen und nachts auch schon mal Mücken unser täglichen Gäste waren. Wir können diesen traumhaften Ort aber jedem für einen Urlaub in der Normandie absolut empfehlen!

Rundum empfehlenswert!

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbringen dürfen. Die petit gîte ist mit Allem ausgestattet was man braucht und sehr gemütlich. Dazu der eigene Garten und der Pool, den wir bei unserem Besuch sehr ausgiebig genutzt haben (bei teilweise 37 Grad im Schatten sehr wohltuend). Die Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb gelegen, man ist aber mit dem Auto (oder mit dem Rad) schnell in Beuzeville, in dem man alles einkaufen kann, was man braucht. Dafür ist es abends herrlich ruhig. Ausflüge nach Honfleur, Le Havre oder Deuville oder etwas weiter in Richtung Omaha Beach, Rouen oder die normannische Schweiz sind aber auch gut möglich. Die Gastgeber Isabelle und Denis sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen (Ausflüge, Restaurants) und sprechen auch sehr gut deutsch, was auch keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: wir haben unsere 2 Wochen sehr genossen und können nur eine große Empfehlung aussprechen!

Erholsame Auszeit

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt, abseits des Trubels und doch nahe an belebten Orten. Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit, auch was z.B. Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung angeht. Das Anwesen selbst ist traumhaft. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig auf einem tollen Anwesen. Es gibt zwei Ferienhäuser, wir hatten das kleinere für 4 Personen.Das Haus hat einen eigenen Gartenbereich, in dem man sich ungestört aufhalten kann, da dieser durch Hecken abgeschirmt ist. Denis ist ein toller Gastgeber, hat auch super Deutsch gesprochen. Zum Abschied gab es eine Flasche selbstgemachten Cidre. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und einen tollen, eindrucksvollen Urlaub erlebt. Das Einzige was nicht ganz so rund lief, war das WLAN. Die Verbindung war nicht ganz so gut, streamen ging nicht. Aber es war jetzt nicht so wichtig.

Nicht nur für Kinder ein Traum...

Wer Natur, viel Platz, viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten für Kinder und nicht zuletzt ein sehr charmantes Ferienhaus sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend! Merci beaucoup!

Ein idyllischer Ort

Ich kann den anderen Bewertungen nur zustimmen: Le petit gite ist eine ideale und ganz besondere, geschmackvolle Unterkunft, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und zu entspannen. Das Grundstück hat einen eigenen großzügigen Garten - angenehm versteckt von den Blicken anderer. Das gesamte Anwesen ist ein wunderschöner Park, eingebettet in ein ländliches, normannisches Flair. Wenn man von den vielseitigen Ausflügen am roten Tor ankommt, dann freut man sich auf und über diesen Rückzugsort, den schönen Pool und den Apéro auf der sonnigen Terrasse. Die hilfsbereiten und gastfreundlichen Besitzer Isabelle und Denis sind Gastgeber, wie man sie sich nur wünschen kann. Ihre gewinnbringen Tipps und ihre Unterstützung haben zu einer sehr schönen Auszeit gerade auch für unsere Kinder im Teenageralter beigetragen. Herzlichen Dank!

Eine tolle Unterkunft

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt auf dem wunderschönen Anwesen sehr genossen. Das Haus ist schlicht eingerichtet, es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Betten sind sehr gemütlich! Der Garten direkt am Haus ist klasse, der Pool wunderbar (mit Salzwasser). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt :-) Die Umgabung ist sehr sehenswert! Wir würden gerne noch einmal wiederkommen.

Très bon sejour

Accueil très agréable, localisation intéressante et dépaysante. Un vrai cliché normand ! Petite maison charmante et bien agencée. Dommage que la météo ne nous ait pas permis de profiter de l'extérieur et de la piscine mais nous reviendrons sûrement .

Rustige en fijne vakantie

Het huis was netjes toen wij aankwamen. Het zwembad was schoon en aangenaam warm. Wij hadden geluk met het weer en konden veel gebruik maken van de tuin, de fietsen en het zwembad. Ook in de omgeving was genoeg te zien.

Wonderful stay

Denis & Isabelle have a wonderful property in the most relaxing surroundings close to places of interest. Tolle normannische Fachwerkhütte

Wunderschön renovierte und sehr gut ausgestattete Fachwerkhütte, ideal für 4 köpfige Familie. Herrliches Grundstück welches sehr abgelegen wird, trotzdem nur 3km in die nächste Ortschaft. Wir haben unsere Zeit und insbesondere den großen beheizten Pool sehr genossen. Kommunikation mit den Vermietern ist hervorragend auf Englisch oder Deutsch. Einziger Punkt zur Verbesserung: Die optionalen Kosten von 50EUR für die Endreinigung sollten im Inserat angegeben werden.

Peaceful Retreat

Ländliche Idylle in Reichweite der Hotspots der Normandie

Das schön eingerichtete Ferienhaus bietet viel Ruhe und Privatsphäre und liegt auf einem herrlichen Anwesen auf dem Land. Es ist umgeben von Tierweiden (besonders beliebt bei unseren Kindern waren die beiden Esel) und abseits des Durchgangsverkehrs, dennoch sind es nur 5 Minuten bis in das kleine Städtchen Beuzeville, das alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bietet. Der Ort ist gut geeignet um die bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Normandie zu erkunden, weil er zentral dazwischen gelegen ist (Rouen, Étretat und Falaise erreicht man in 60, Honfleur, Deauville/Trouville und die Strände in 20-40 Minuten, Caen und die Landungsstrände in 70-90 Minuten). Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht. Das Häuschen ist sehr stimmungsvoll im Stil normannischer Fachwerkhäuser errichtet, schön eingerichtet und makellos sauber. Ein Schlafzimmer verfügt über getrennte Betten, das andere über ein verbundenes Bett mit geteilter Bettdecke, wie in Frankreich üblich. Angenehm sind das moderne Bad und ein zusätzliches getrenntes WC. Die Küche ist klein aber zweckmäßig und für Grillfreunde steht sogar ein kleiner Kugelgrill bereit, den man im privaten Garten des Häuschens anwerfen kann. An Regentagen kann man in der Scheune des Anwesens Tischtennis spielen, an Sonnentagen im Pool baden, den man nur mit den Bewohnern des zweiten Ferienhauses teilen muss. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne einmal wieder.
