"I stayed one night with my wife and daughter. Every thing is more than expected. We strolled a lake. It was fantastic. People working in the hotel were so kind. Breakfast was home-made and so delicious. I should return here. Some day."
"A classical property with great history. A pity there is not a restaurant attached but not a problem. Excellent accommodation at an excellent price. Good communication - necessary as it is quite difficult to find. Loved it!!"
"Nice townhouse about 15 min walk from the centre of Angouleme.
Friendly, attentive owner with plenty advice on places to eat.
Tastefully furnished.
Comfortable bed and private bathroom.
Nice continental breakfast.
Parking free on street outside the property. "
"Il est rare d’avoir un tel niveau de confort, des équipements de cette qualité et des finissions si parfaites. Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Merci et bravo pour la qualité de vos prestations. Vraiment."
"Lovely, quirky hotel right in the middle of the city so very convenient for everything. The receptionists were excellent, so bright and helpful. Particularly helped with the parking as it’s quite tricky when the small car park is busy. The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. One small thing is that whilst they have tea and coffee in the room you have to get milk from...
"Fantastic stay, service, bed, breakfast, views and dining options. Take a taxi to the hotel. Walk is straight uphill from train! Especially if you have bags.l and it’s summertime. Mercí Mercure!"
"Location: 10/10. Perfect part of Angoulême to stay.
Staff: super friendly, attentive, helpful and accommodating. (Special mention must got to "Bee" ... just delightful!!)
Property: clean, neat, excellent sized room.
I'll be staying here again when i return to France!!"
"I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter. We originally booked it for one night only, but due to changing family circumstances she had to add another night. She doesn't speak French, so she was very impressed with the staff ability to communicate with her and help her with all her needs. Customer service is what made this property to stand out. Thank you so much."
"The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are alright too. But the location of the hotel is convenient only if the purpose of your trip is to visit the Cartoon Museum, which is around the corner. To get to the old town, where all the monuments, museums, churches, and restaurants are, you have to walk up a steep hill for fifteen minutes."
"Perfectly located to stay for an early train departure for CDG. 12 minute easy walk to Centre of Angoulême for large variety of restaurants. The area is not very desirable but it is opposite the train station $ that was the objective. Very clean room but unfortunately no fridge or tea/coffee facility in room."
"Online booking. Confirmation information did not extend to necessary check in details but our arrival time was within the parameters of supposed manned reception. On arrival access was problematic and achieved only with the help of another visitor. Eventually one (extremely surly) staff member with poor attitude opened the door and dismissively pointed to envelopes containing the room keys before disappearing in a cloud of disinterest without providing the front door key code which the other...
"Good position for overnight stop close to mainn road, breakfast was fine, room was comfortable however bathroom was very small and shower was cramped."

The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. One small thing is that whilst they have tea and coffee in the room you have to get milk from reception which is a minor but unnecessary inconvenience. The rooms were spotless, as were the interestingly decorated communal areas. The only disappointment was the breakfast which was very standard and not so well maintained if you don’t get there first thing. Oddly, they serve your coffee in a jug with no top which means it goes cold very quickly which is very frustrating. "
Kyriad Angoulême Nord Champniers - Hôtel & Résidence
4/5 Good
One night stop over
"Nice, clean room & very friendly staff, but the outside, on first impression, looked like it could do with a fresh lick of paint & tidy up. Great for a one night stop over though, at a good price & offering a reasonable breakfast in the morning. "
